April 30, 201511 yr Far too many people underrate Guardiola on this site. Recent antics have put him in a more negative light but he is one of the best in the world and maybe even the best. Not just at managing but a brilliant coach as well.I would like to see what he can do with a team in need of re-building and not at their peak (like he's inherited twice) or aren't already the main power houses in the league. I'd also like to see how he goes when there's more than one real serious rival to the Championship.
April 30, 201511 yr Congratulations are in order for CFC, soon, but I was thinking earlier that you have not had any decent rivals this side of Christmas. I think CFC will very deservedly win the title but the 'rivals' have really stuffed up too. Does anyone expect a stronger challenge next season? (I'm assuming that Rodgers will leave LFC and that Pellegrini will be gone from City too). Really looking forward to next season, hoping to see more Zouma; hoping Cuadrado finds his groove as Willian seems to have done. The team will change shape in an exciting way I feel. Also hoping issues such as reffing will be under robust scrutiny. We have the lot and looking forward to the women's team and the youth team development. Look forward to seeing what happens with Kane, would have said the same about Austin at one point, but I've gone off him. Edited April 30, 201511 yr by Droogba
April 30, 201511 yr A rather naive and oddly over-confident feeling that he wouldn't do well here. Far too many people underrate Guardiola on this site. Recent antics have put him in a more negative light but he is one of the best in the world and maybe even the best. Not just at managing but a brilliant coach as well. Because he's Mourinho's enemy, bit like Wenger. And he turned us down. Personally I think he's an excellent coach who gets something extra out of his players.
April 30, 201511 yr https://vine.co/v/e7m25KmjDue Cronaldo gets mad cause Arbeloa didn't pass to him for tap-in The guy's ego is out of control. He needs to be taken down a peg or two. Him winning the Ballon d'Or is the worst thing that could have happened to him really, it's just made him even more big headed and unlikeable.
April 30, 201511 yr How can anybody watch this and say they like him? He's the type of man that would take a hattrick if it meant his team lost. If you score a hattrick and still lose then that's your defence's fault. Defended him before, but he's the ultimate competitor. They do seem to have a tendency to be dickheads though, and have an ultra-competitive streak. He doesn't like not scoring - probably why he scores so much. Would love Eden to have a bit more of that in him.

(I'm assuming that Rodgers will leave LFC and that Pellegrini will be gone from City too). Yeah the rivals really didn't push us: Arsenal were to late as always playing well when the pressure is off. I don't side with people who think next year they will mount a challenge. They may set an early marker but overall I feel they'll come short as always. United, they hit some form too late like Arsenal and then fell apart again however they will spend big in the Summer and so think they'll push us. City, same after their last title win defended it disastrously but I think they'll be back next season. I think they'll be our biggest threat next season. Liverpool, a spectacular collapse and I think if they miss out on EL will push for top four but that's it.
April 30, 201511 yr Pearson is a massive twat. Can't wait to see his side relegated. I find the guy to be pretty weird, it's the way he talks.
April 30, 201511 yr If you score a hattrick and still lose then that's your defence's fault. this is an entirely different debate. an utterly irrrelevant sentence Defended him before, but he's the ultimate competitor. They do seem to have a tendency to be dickheads though, and have an ultra-competitive streak. being the ultimate competitor is detrimental when your priorities are misplaced, and his obviously are. modern football is partly the blame because it glorifies stat padders and individual awards
April 30, 201511 yr this is an entirely different debate. an utterly irrrelevant sentence His job is to score goals. If he's scoring a hattrick then he's doing his job. That's the relevance. being the ultimate competitor is detrimental when your priorities are misplaced, and his obviously are. modern football is partly the blame because it glorifies stat padders and individual awards The second part I agree with, but how many times has his dedication to his craft been the difference for his team? I don't think his priorities are misplaced and I think any coach would give their hind teeth for more players with his dedication to being the best player he can be.

April 30, 201511 yr Ach Ronaldo is Ronaldo. He's selfish, has a huge ego to boot but he's a genius and would be welcome in any team in world football. Guys like Lukaku act like this but don't have the talent to back it up...Ronaldo does.
April 30, 201511 yr Respect your opinion, but Messi seems to do okay? True. It takes all sorts. Not everyone has to follow the same route to the top of the tree, but I think it's a little odd criticising how one got there.

Guys like Lukaku act like this but don't have the talent to back it up...Ronaldo does. If we could sign him, i wouldn't take, i'm not joking either. I don't care how good he is, i don't want a player in our team that makes everything about him. He is the one player in the world right now that has become bigger than his club, no player should be bigger than the club. He's won 1 league title with Real Madrid, there must be something wrong at the club and i think it's the ego's, mainly Ronaldo's.

I'd take him in a heartbeat as he's in a class of his own (well 2 with Messi) and would be better than any player we have. He's won the CL twice remember too plus titles with United as well as cups with madrid. It's his personality to be like he is but you only have to look at his record in football to know his attitude on the pitch football wise is first class and he is a winner. He works hard for what he is and that's the best player in the world (or second best depending on what way you swing). I understand your view though.

You know who else has a big ego and only won 1 league title at Real? Ronaldo also won 3 league titles in this country and two Champions League titles. And he's Portuguese. f**king hell, Ronaldo is what Mourinho would be like if he was a player.
April 30, 201511 yr http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/32537425 Wasn't sure where to post this but sad news nonetheless. Amazing how things like that can go undetected.
April 30, 201511 yr f**king hell, Ronaldo is what Mourinho would be like if he was a player. Except Jose has a team ethic in my opinion. I'm with Scott on this. I was glad when Lukaku left, and Sturridge for that matter. Not keen on gobsh*tes undermining the club, and I think Ronaldo would. Would take Bale though, much more humble.
April 30, 201511 yr f**king hell, Ronaldo is what Mourinho would be like if he was a player. No way! Ronaldo hasn't got the wit, humour and charm of TGO. And Jose doesn't pose and preen like Ronaldo. He may be arrogant but he's not vain. And I know you meant (and said) if he was a player, but I can't have you suggesting that Ronaldo and Jose are similar. No one is similar to TGO. But if Real don't win the league, can it really be the fault of a bloke who scores 50 goals a season? The whole club is a farce. Remember them getting rid of Makelele because the idiots who ran the club didn't think he did anything important.

We also have Drogba who threw a mini strop when he was going for the scoring title and we got a penalty in the last game against Wigan. Goalscorers tend to have that streak in them. I'm a fan of Ronaldo though. I think he's worked as hard as any player in history to make the most of his assets.
April 30, 201511 yr Photoshop gold. Either a trophy or Wenger in fishnets. Go on then. I look forward to it.
