How old were you the last time Spurs won at the Bridge?

Featured Replies

I was born in 1990

So i grew up watching us never lose to them home or away, bar that league cup tie about a decade and a bit ago, the League cup final and maybe a couple other games here and there

WHL was, and is still called, 3 point lane for a reason.

At an old job of mine a lot of the older workmates for some reason couldn't understand why a Chelsea fan like myself could consider my club being bigger than theirs, especially pre-RA...I guess us never losing to them for so many years, finishing above them in the league almost every year, never gave them a hint.

I'm sure, and we all know Spurs had their moments where they were doing well as a club while ours went in the opposite direction - they had some good seasons and won a few things in the late 50's to the start of the 70s and were clearly better than us throughout the 80s, but as soon as the 90's hit, we've been better than them by all meausures....ive been a fan ive never seen Spurs be anything other than a mediocre club

Seems to fit the ID of a lot of these Spurs fans that i used to work with, all of them living off their past glories 30 years ago when Chelsea was at it's lowest point

Same here - I was born in 1990, as such I pretty much have no memory of Sp*rs other than running them ragged home and away in all competitions. Yes they very occasionally grab a win here and there and they celebrate it like they've won a trophy, but we have p*ssed all over them in my lifetime - long may it continue.

Had a great night at SB yesterday - tack another W in the locker against the has-beens!

i was 24 and i was at the game.Row Z of the West Stand so as close as possible to see those twats celebrate when Lineker scored. All in all a bloody nightmare.

I was 28 just married with no kids.

One's a secondary school maths teacher and the other runs a gym now.

Sinaed O'Connor was number 1 with Nothing compares to you (according to the interweb)

They didn't beat us at WHL for years either. I believe between 1987 and 2006...but we've only just become better lately of course.

Maka scored a screamer when they bet us at the lane

Was at that game. Great goal from Maka. Remember walking down to the Tube station after the match and listening to the Spurs fans celebrating as if they'd won the League. Normal service was resumed when we beat them in the FA Cup a few months later. Sheva and SWP scored the goals.

Was 29 when they won at the Bridge in 1990. Was in the Shed that day.  The thing (non-football) I remember most about 1990 was Thatcher resigning as Prime Minister later that year.

I was 34, had already been hating the scum for 23 years and still do with equal passion. Was not at the 1990 game but have not missed one at SB since 1997 Was there last night for the latest chapter in this long running saga and loved every moment, long may it continue.

What was the atmosphere like

I was born in 82 and was nearly 8. I remember this year for the 1st World Cup I could understand. Gazza having a little cry etc.

I was 33 that year. The first big 'recession' of my working life was starting to kick in. Had taken the family to Florida for a holiday, spent out, back 4 days, company went into 'receivership', and i was made redundant 10 days before Christmas!.

Was 22 for that game. Was in the west stand. Got married in May that year, and missed last game of season away at Millwall!! Kerry scored a hatrick. Was there last night, for another great day.

I was 23. Missed the match as I was spending the season as a ski bum working in Whistler, Canada. Now I'm 48 and living back in Whistler again.

Here's a nice little quiz from yesterday's Mirror about what's happened since they last beat us at home:

My favourite game against them in that time? Has to be the "normal service has resumed" at the Lane. Incredible atmosphere that day, very old school, very intense. Mind you the 4-0 at home a few days later was pretty sweet too:

My age...well past my 20's.

"The sh*t from Tottenham Hotspur went to rome to see the pope,

The sh*t from Tottenham Hotspur went to rome to see the pope

The sh*t from Tottenham Hotspur went to rome to see the pope and this is what he said "f**k Off""

This song came out of the visit by catholic Spurs players to rome to see the pope and he declined to see them. hahaha

in my days the song above lead straight into

"Whose that team we call the Chelsea...."
