November 3, 201510 yr Trailers have so many spoilers in them these days too. The only trailer that has got me really excited for a film in the last couple of years is the latest Force Awakens trailer. That's true. They tend to show most of the key moments in a film. Comedy trailers tend to show too many of a film's best jokes. The Star Wars trailer is exciting. I hope the film is as good.
November 4, 201510 yr Author I've seen QOS at least 3 times and still cant really remember what happens. Utterly forgettable movie!
November 5, 201510 yr Recasting Bond was discussed earlier in this thread and I saw this article, so I thought I'd share it here: http://www.avclub.com/article/bond-reborn-17-suggestions-how-really-reboot-007-227750
November 5, 201510 yr I think Rupert Penry Jones might be a good Bond. He'd need to adopt a more assertive persona to be Bond, of course.
November 6, 201510 yr I think Rupert Penry Jones might be a good Bond. He'd need to adopt a more assertive persona to be Bond, of course. I've no idea who he is but I can tell from the name that he's the sort of guy that Bond fans would be very satisfied with.
November 6, 201510 yr Just seen it yesterday. Its attention to detail and plot are amazing and I had a great time watching it. Definitely one of the best movies I've watched in recent years. This is Daniel Craig's second best Bond movie IMO, just a little behind Skyfall. If this is Craig's last Bond movie, then I'd say he has ended his time as Bond on a high note. Finally, I just can't get into that Sam Smith song, it doesn't represent anything Bond-ish. The boring and melancholic lyrics made it suitable for something like Twilight instead.
November 6, 201510 yr not as bad as qos but im pretty dissapointed with it it lacks the emotional punch of casino royale and skyfall, no memorable scenes, felt like the movie just goes through to the motion dragging the plot far too long with a very dissapointing villian plus side is cinematography is great as always in sam mendes films, and christoph waltz and lea seydoux did awesome 6.5/10
November 6, 201510 yr I've heard it's a "Bond by numbers" sort of mish mash which tries to play it safe and cram in as many "Bond type elements" (familiar from previous movies) into it as possible without even attempting to break any new ground.
November 6, 201510 yr I thought it was decent but because of they hype it really isn't all that great really and will fail to please those who hoped for more. I'd say it's obviously better than QoS but falls behind both Skyfall and Casino Royale for classic Bond thrills. If you are a Bond fan you will enjoy it no doubt but I was certainly expecting a bit more because Skyfall was so well made. The scene that made the film for me was The train scene that captured some old classic bond fights, it was really well done. The ending though seemed rushed and IMO had a anti-climax feel about it.
November 6, 201510 yr I've heard it's a "Bond by numbers" sort of mish mash which tries to play it safe and cram in as many "Bond type elements" (familiar from previous movies) into it as possible without even attempting to break any new ground. That sums up what I thought a lot better than how I put it. It just felt like they didn't try anything new, they just took plot lines, even scenes, from previous Bonds and put them together.
November 7, 201510 yr I, for one, really enjoyed Spectre. It was a throwback to the Bond films of old.. It had it all. Gunbarrel sequence, great action, beautiful women, fast cars, a good henchman villain, the white cat, and all the traditional Bond elements (from "Bond...James Bond" to "Vodka martini, shaken, not stirred")... While not quite as good as Skyfall, it's still a solid Bond movie.
November 7, 201510 yr TBF a lot of scenes have already been done in past Bond Movies & it's hard to top some of the older stuff. I liked the plot. Ok it was a bit hokey, but the Villian always dies & Bond gets the girl in the end. Love the chase scene in Rome. That was a nice looking Jag that Bautista was driving.
November 8, 201510 yr It has near naked Daniel Craig in it, then? if he was naked, then he is hella small - sorta like Chow's
November 8, 201510 yr It was good it was typical Bond and I'm not the biggest of fans. Yeah I thought the same, decent but I'm just not into the series enough to think any more of it.
November 30, 201510 yr it was good, but the last scene disappointed me. Bond can't quite MI6 because of woman. This love story with Madeleine has been overdone
February 19, 201610 yr One of the Aston Martin DB10s used in Spectre has been sold for £2.4 million. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-35609242 Edited February 19, 201610 yr by Boyne
