Who the hell is Sam Smith? Never heard of him.

 

Had to google his name and apparently he's this dude who sings these bland middle of the road ballads. Sounds like he can sing a bit, but the songs lack proper emotion. I wonder if Tom Waits would be available? He's a proper crooner! :happy001:

Technically, it's not bad as such, but it's not just the chorus that it lacks. Somehow it's even more forgettable than Skyfall's theme. Very bland.

I don't like it either. Chorus is rubbish, his falsetto is too much. It just never really gets going.

 

Adele's Skyfall was brilliant...and now we have this. It's Sam Smith anyway, I never had high hopes

That song though.....

 

It got to number 1? Its rubbish, he simply hasn't got the voice for a James Bond song. Unfortunately he was following on from Adele and the amazing Skyfall so in comparison it was always going to be worse... I just didn’t expect it on this level. I'm also going to be sexist and say the whole franchise suits a female singer, it just doesn't feel the same having a man sing it.

On a seperate note I wonder who the next James Bond will be, isn't this Daniel Craig's last one?
