Raheem Sterling to Chelsea

Featured Replies

What does that have to do with anything?

You say he was asking for breaks as if there's something wrong in a young player managing their game time.

How many Chelsea players have played more minutes than him in the league this season?

Was a very good player last season, but he is suffering from the lack of quality around him. Suarez and Sturridge used to create a lot of space for him that Balotelli et al just don't. He will be a very good player if he can get his head in the right place, but he looks like he is throwing a massive strop at the minute.

Asking for breaks and then going out clubbing I see a lot wrong with that yeah.

So what should he do on a break? He's a young man and having downtime from sport doesn't mean taking some monastic vow but allowing his body and mind to recuperate in the best way possible.

And the answer 4 - only 4 Chelsea players have played more Premier League minutes than Sterling.

We talk about running young players into the ground, players like Wilshere, yet when a player actually has an occasional break then we question it? It's rank hypocrisy especially when it doesn't seem to be affecting his development. I just think that some people have it out for him.

He should be at home resting, been up til all hours on the piss isn't going to help him rest if he's tired is it? We're he more professional I'd have more time for him.

We're just gonna have to agree to disagree on this cause I can't really be arsed going round in circles on this one.

What makes you think he wasn't resting prior to his night out? Was he out on the piss or was he just have a nice night out without getting wasted?

Not even sure where this story came from.

Only source I could find was the ever-reliable Daily Mail, who claim Sterling was out clubbing until 3am with Welbeck and Oxlade-Chamberlain

Drinking or not, staying out until 3am is unacceptable for a pro athlete, mid season

Has apparently been spotted looking for properties in London and has allegedly turned down yet another offer from Liverpool now that they have lost Champion's League.

Arsenal couldn't accommodate him and Tottenham do not have Champion's League. Process of elimination?

I'd have him in a heartbeat..

Jose would mould him into a great player to play in a great team, unlike Brenda pampering to him because he's the best that sad outfit have.

Wouldn't be worth the money especially when he can't make the first team

Even if Jose is looking for a good winger, that creates chances, starts the engine in counter attacks, someone like Sterling, then I'd prefer him to go after Yannick Bolasie. Not expensive, awesome player, Jose can make him a great player. Today I watched him against Liverpool and their defence couldn't handle him, on other side everytime I saw Sterling on Crystal Palace's side, he lost the ball.

I still think we don't need a winger, but even if we chasing one, I think we should go for Bolasie, and I'm sure he's not another Moses, better than him.

I think he will stay, because no one is going to pay Liverpool's ridiculous asking price. £40-50m? Not in a million years.  I'd take him here for about £25m most

Even thats a push tbh, especially after his game today. Classic case of too much of a ego, I'd be surprised if his form stays this good next season, I expect it to go down
