He's possibly my favourite player and one of Chelsea's best, but I wouldn't say he's unsung. Every Chelsea fan I know rates him highly and he often receives plaudits. It's the same for all defenders who don't score.

will have scored some serious points with mourinho yesterday when he soldiered on with a burst head. Mourinho loves it when blood is spilled on the pitch - made reference to it when Inter beat Barca in the CL, and he made a point of singling out brana after the liverpool semi final last month when he played with a carved up foot. Dave couldnt get back on the pitch quick enough yesterday - f**king gladiator.

Dave was outstanding yesterday and my MoM. He just does the business, quietly and effectively, not afraid to put his body or head on the line for the team. Left back or Right back makes no difference, class is permanent and he is a class act. Can see him staying forever at the Bridge.

It's good to have a few unsung heroes in the team, keeping them unsung isn't easy though, I use to think of Brana as one, not any more. As the previous post stated, having a secret weapon up your sleeve has got to be a good thing.

I recognised him straight away , didn't want to disturb him at first, I waited and waited till he passed by the department I work in and I was like "hi Dave" then he laughed and I was saying to his daughter that she must support chelsea and he was like of course she doesn't have a choice haha.

I also wished him luck with the rest of the games :)))
