Eva Carneiro

Featured Replies

I haven't followed the talk of the incident at all, but I was surprised that:

"The matter was brought to the attention of the FA on 8 September and led to the appointment of an independent academic expert in Portuguese linguistics to analyse the footage of the incident which included the audio recording."

I thought Jose shouted at them in English. Oh well. Now the club just has to wait if Eva takes it to the court.

So it turns out Jose didn't even say anything that breaks the rules and may not have even been talking to the medics!?!

Clearly the case that Carneiro couldn't take a slap on the wrist and now is trying to rob our club.

Glad shes gone,

Really?

Let me point out that I neither defended, nor attacked Carneiro. Unlike some people, who slagged her off despite not knowing what has been going on between the club and the doctor. Get the facts before you start pointing fingers, was my message.

Not a clue why you think an apology is in order.

I was right, thats why.

Jose didnt do anything wrong and shes sueing the club for it.....

Awaiting an apology for trying to skin me over this when i have been pretty spot on about it all, mainly because its fekin obvious!

you only ever attack my contributions, while adding nothing yourself because you're too scared to have an opinion of anything!!!

Oh yes, I'm shaking in my shoes. Don't be pathetic. I told you why I was holding off on forming an opinion. I'm not going to bother repeating that, you don't want to listen, only to yourself.

That is bollocks - Valerie attacks me at regular intervals, only it's not in the threads that you frequent.

And she's usually right!

As someone pointed out before they would have to suspend most of the staff of every club on gamedays if they'd hand out penalties for cursing. That was essentially what they were looking into in this case.

What I don't like in this case is pro-women organizations have raised their head here. If they want equality they accept the rules for both good and bad. Jose attacked Feirn as hard as Carneiro there.

"Women in Football"(thats the name of the group) are doing themselves more harm than good i think. Why come out and protest against the ruling?

Video shows Jose shouting at BOTH staff members, regardless of gender. Yet he hasn't been investigated for shouting at Jon Fearn.

As for it being sexist language, what would he have even said? Something along the lines of "bitch" at worst I would imagine. Seems like a huge overreaction to generate headlines and publicity for their 'cause' whatever that may be.

Many women DONT get the respect and opportunities they deserve in football (Hope Powell for example should have been given the chance to manage a mens team by now in my opinion), but this is not the way to go about achieving that.  Especially in such a male-dominated arena, they are making far more enemies than friends, and all quite unnecessarily.

See the problem with Women in Football's protest is that it kind of ignores the fact that Chelsea put a woman into a high profile role in the club in the first place.

This level of scrutiny at an internal staff dispute could make Chelsea and in fact other clubs think that it's not worth the hassle looking to employ woman into these types of roles if this is the potential issues it carries.

We wouldn't have had this level of investigation had we not been open minded enough to employ Eva into the match day team in the first place.

Woman in Football are doing their cause more harm than good with how they have pursued and criticised this ruling.

They're claiming he said daughter of a whore in Portuguese, fa think he said son of a bitch...expect jon Fearn to complain next...oh, but wait...he's just getting on with his job...

no-one can say Jose handled the situation very well at the time...but neither has Eva or the opportunists looking to use her situation to promote their own agenda

I'm glad that ones cleared up, although there'll probably be s constructive dismissal case to come.

José might have got away with it if he hadn't gone on TV with his assertion that the medics didn't understand the game, when they were clearly summoned on by the ref.

Some of his post match comments have been strange., from thinking we were the better team against City to thinking we played well against Porto. The medics outburst was just another one that doesn't make any sense.

I always thought that there would be no way for the FA to determine who Jose said it to as such they had to drop it.

He said "Filha da Puta" which is daughter of a whore.

However this is regularly used for men, women or situations in general and so the offended party is unclear.

Its pretty much "son of a bitch" like some people say here, doesnt really mean anything for the most part as many people say it without even referring to someone, like when they drop something, or when the traffic lights change!

Truly, Zola, the expression "filha da puta"  is much much more offensive in Latin languages than son of a bitch is in English (or do I mean American?)

"filha da puta" Was that what that Barca fan shouted at Rambo after he scored that semi final blinder against them in their own backyard?

Not sure about that, but some Barca fan shouted it at Torres after THAT goal.
