If thats true then this makes a whole lot more sense. Mourinho having a fit over a doctor running on the field because he wants to force her out of the club sounds about right. Club should have supported him if he wanted a new doctor in the summer, makes no sense to have someone on the staff the manager doesnt want to work with.

Which again comes down to the simple fact that this should have been a club matter kept behind closed doors. The moment Jose threw this into the public domain the club were placed in an impossible position. Poor man management by all concerned.

I woke up with a lovely feeling of satisfaction lesblues....

Hahaha. Why don't you express your feelings through a letter or her social page. You never know...

From ESPN,

Former Chelsea team doctor Eva Carneiro's

constructive dismissal case against the club will go to a full tribunal after no settlement could be

agreed at a preliminary hearing on Wednesday.

Carneiro, 42, was in attendance at the London

South Employment Tribunal in Croydon which

was held in private before an employment judge.

She arrived with her husband and her legal team,

and made no comment to the waiting members

of the press as she entered the building.

Leaving court after the three-hour hearing, Mary

O'Rourke QC, representing Carneiro, said no

settlement had been reached and a date had

been fixed for the next hearing.

The hearing fixed the timetable for the case, and

dealt with witness statements and disclosure of

documents -- including texts and emails -- by each

side, as well as any legal procedural disputes that

current exist between the two parties.

A date for a full hearing has not yet been

confirmed, but could be fixed for some time in

June if there is not another preliminary hearing

arranged before that takes place. The parties may

also agree to a settlement before the case is

heard.

I know that we were her employer at the time, but if Jose is now gone, how does that all pan out in the courts?  Couldn't the club claim that they took this into consideration when they released Jose.  Claim that  "results, and other circumstances" had them release Jose of his duties?

The "other circumstances" part being the debacle with Eva, and Player unrest?

Of course, i'm merely asking the question and don't pretend to know if this is a hypothesis based in reality.

The crux of the matter: was she left with no alternative but to resign? I think that the answer to that is no. No doubt there was an assumption made by her legal team that due to all the publicity the club would settle early so as to put a stop to same. That has not occurred which is rather unfortunate for her. I feel that she has been badly advised all along. Perhaps the penny is now starting to drop for her. This will not end well for her.

Mrs Fester is a doctor and reckons if it comes out she had a relationship with a patient (one of the players) she could end up in major professional doo-doo with the General Medical Council (GMC - doctors regulatory body).

On which basis I'm surprised she's let it go to court.

I would assume the club do not want her back as her claim for compensation was for both money for "personal injury" and her position reinstated.

Given I doubt Roman would argue too hard over money I assume we just do not want her back.
