Bloody hell!  I keep entering this thread to give my opinion, and keep being so gobsmacked that I end up crawling out without uttering a mutter.

However..reluctant as I am to disagree with my twin (though I was born several minutes before him, so will play the senior card!):

Whether Eva was indulging in rumpy pumpy with Hazard or not is irrelevant.

Whether Eva is attractive or not is irrelevant.

Her gender is irrelevant.

The fact that  Jon, her male colleague, did not take the same action as her is irrelevant. He may have been afraid, who knows?

She was a Chelsea employee on the pitch, doing her job, as instructed by the referee.

It was not she who invaded the pitch to scream abuse.

If any boss of mine, in my profession, had ever publicly treated me like that, I would have been on the telephone to my Union rep the same day, and by the next day my boss would have been suspended on full pay.  After an investigation, he would have been sacked and would have lost his pension rights for public unprofessional conduct.

I have absolutely no idea why Shelley has this dislike of Jeremy Vine.  If you feel like sharing, Shelley, please do.  I have always found him and his brother Tim intelligent and articulate, but if there are skeletons in his cupboard that would change my opinion of him, please let me know.

Ah unions, they once had teeth. Mr Vine, entitled? Superior? Who knows, haven't met any of them. Skeletons, good people have them sometimes, the not so good are seemingly squeaky clean at times.

Trouble is dear twin I am biased; the duchess has a flaw, she takes instant dislikes to folk , including Eva, and annoyingly she's often more right than wrong.

If I am wrong I will be the first to put my hand up.

As far as employment wrangles, again I'm biased, but can't say more than that, and does it really matter as we are all second guessing, no not really.

Any player who lost form due to a doctor leaving is a player I would not miss at our club, if he's that pathetically weak willed.

This doctor was a workmate of theirs and they didn't seem to take kindly to seeing her getting bullied by their boss causing her to leave the club. I wouldn't like to see it happening to a friend/workmate of mine. I would certainly lose any respect I might have for my boss.

Would you down tools over it though? I highly doubt it as in most jobs you'd swiftly follow them out for poor performance.

That is a pretty good write up by mr Vine, sums up quite well, not totally in agreement with all his protestations, a fair few other spicy meltdowns helped with his demise.....

You've helped me locate my issue I think. Dreadful things go on in the workplace, but workers don't have the level of fame or public support, also these things go unchecked as they're not on tv; not Eva's fault that she will come out better than most.

I have the same feelings about Vine as I do about Stephen Fry, Jeremy Clarkson and many other "celebs". I loathe them and if a fellow poster invites me to click on a link to someone I hate, I reserve my right to express my loathing. If industrial language offends I' ll take that on board in future.

Vines opinions on our ex-physio carry as much weight with me as those of Lulu or the Krankies.

José f##ked up big time and now he has unfortunatly paid the price for his ignorance i dont care what anyone says but that moment of madness is what started this mess to begin with unprofessional of some of the players let it affect their performances on the pitch i agree but like others have stated she was a well liked co-worker who was treated like shyte for doing her job...

By that token does Jose not deserve the same employment rights?

There must be many sacked bosses who have got it wrong, except in banking, politics ...e.g. maybe.

What do you mean ? Can't remember Jose be shouted at for doing he's job he lost 9 games and was still supported by the fans and for a long time the club. Maybe I've read your reply wrong can you explain it.

Well, it's old news, but the evidence is there, the way he was treated in the press and so forth. He didn't take to social media out of the blue...he was in a no win situation. PLUS, we don't know the whole story.

We all have different takes on this, time will tell.

I do feel Jose has been treated badly by quite a few from different sources and doesn't have male rights groups jumping in as one example.

But he was the one in the wrong both club doctors done their job. Why should Jose be protected all he had to do was clear it up it the post match interview and say the issue is dealt with and move on. I work as an information giver and we cover everything ( exciting stuff lol ). If eva or John had to ring me and explain what happened I would have refferrd them on to the work place relations office who deal with employment law and I'd have no doubt they would have supported both doctors . in my opinion its the worse thing I've seen Jose done since sticking he's finger in someone's eye which is a horrible thing to do, he should have been done for assault. Jose dealth with the doctor issue all wrong the club backed Jose which was wrong as well I'm my opinion. The bottom line is its done now and notting will chance that. Hopefully things will get better.

I take your point entirely. Did you see Klopp's outburst? Could be just me, but I thought imagine if that had been Jose. Interesting how we all react and how others react to that.

With Tony pulis ? If that was Jose you can bet any money it would be headline news. Have no doubt the media will always be on our back and Jose's but I think jose enjoys it. He's a circus and he loves it, he's backroom staff are nuts as well. I didn't mind klopp but after seeing that I just though PRICK.

Of course I wouldn't down tools because I live in the real world but I wouldn't be doing anymore than I needed to do. That kind of behaviour won't make people bust a gut for you. I don't agree with the players as such because the situation is totally different to anything "ordinary" people would face, it's just an opinion on what might be going on and why?

just bring her back. it would prove that our club can let bygones be bygones and it'll give our medical team and squad a big boost in morale.

Oh, blah di blah di blah. They're supposed to be PROFESSIONALS! I don't care how they feel about Jose, that's no excuse for not giving 110% for the club. My club! Jose's outburst and our players petty dislike for him have cost us dearly this season... I can honestly say at this moment I don't give a damn about Jose or the bloody players.

I get that mate, just saying that if that is the case it's not acceptable, and you're right maybe you wouldn't go the extra mile but us being 16th in the league is more than not going the extra mile, it's downright giving up.

It is indeed a lot different which for me makes it all the more galling that they're millionaires and it appears to have affected their performances more than it would us mere mortals on modest salaries.

copied and pasted from Martin Samuels's The Debate in response about how Mourinho ruined heaven on Earth for Carneiro:

How do you know she was good at her job? How do you know she liked her job? You're projecting. I have no idea of her professional capabilities but I have read that Mourinho had asked for a new doctor during the summer, but the club would not make the change. If that is correct, then what happened on the first day of the season was a conflict bubbling under for some time. 'From what I've heard, he's well rid,' a senior figure in football management told a friend of mine earlier in the season. I have no idea what he meant, or whether there was a scrap of justification in his words. And that's the point. We cannot presume competence, or otherwise. It just seems to me there is more to this than one row on the touchline.

The pretty strong rumour I heard was that it wasn't just a player she was supposed to have had a fling with ... which would tie in with what Samuels says about there being "more to this than one row on the touchline" ...
