Maybe no Costa vs Stoke, but I cant help feeling that comment is to have him withdraw from the Spain squad.

If it is true, please Jose pick Remy not the Drog. It is Stoke though so...you can expect all our tall players in.

Del Bosque would be pissed. ;)

What does the d stand for by they way. I've worked out the k and the w already.

No need for the snide comments over the internet now is there. Let's just treat each other as we would in real life.

Brilliant game; Ivanovic was MOTM for me, reminded me of Cafu in his prime the way he was marauding down the right flank. Special mention for Willian who got a great assist and had another classy game, proud to have our 3 Brazilians playing for us.

What are you smoking ?

Can someone confirm to me I did not imagine Remy scored and we ended up winning today? I am beginning to doubt if I actually saw what I saw.

Is just that several of our fans on here seem ready to tear shreds out of each other like we lost and cost them a fortune while throwing insults at their families in the process.

Personally I happy to have seen us win live for only the second time this season, and the first Spurs did not offer up the sort of threat the did at the Lane. Hull made a damn good fist of it today and deserve a lot of credit, it made for an interesting game to watch.

I think Elmo's main attacking contributions (goal aside) won't show up in statistics. I think his movement and stretching of our D was pivotal to Hulls attacking chances and I think he did well keeping Luis too occupied to be an effective attacker. I'm not saying Elmo was MOTM or we should go for him, just that better clubs than Hull in the BPL have worse FB's so I'm surprised despite being in the BPL for as long as he has that he's still will relegation fighters

Family insults? That's off bounds.

I think sometimes people just get a little bit insulated behind their keyboards. Everyone has disagreements and that's part of football and you'll see some heated ones in any pub after a match but if people are insulting families then it's gone too far.

I always say that people should just treat each other like you would in the pub. At the end of the day we're all Chelsea supporters and the vast majority have probably grown up engaging with other Chelsea supporters. But like I said, the internets is a weird place sometimes and people forget themselves. Doubt it's anything personal.

it's a very difficult one this, stoke will sit very deep, 2 banks if 4 with no space between or behind and that won't suit Remy at all, so a drogba type player would be needed. Unfortunately drogba is no longer a drogba type player for us.

Good point. Well put and respectfully delivered.

Still think he was poor in possession of the ball especially with the freedom Eden can give players in that position but you make a good argument. :good2:

Oh I'm equally stubborn and asinine in person. I've also been to your pubs and so far no 50 year old woman in this forum has been carried out by the doormen because she was throwing glass cups at people. To be fair, it was Sutton.

Agreed, an exaggeration on my part as we have no seen that, to date, on here as far as I am aware and hopefully it never comes to that.

Certainly had disagreements on here in the past with people, in my more negative head space. DKW being one, pretty sure am not on Joey's Christmas card list either.

While I do not always agree with them or their views I respect their right to it and that they will be proven right at times and I will be shown to be wrong, and vice versa.

As you said, end of the day we are all Chelsea fans and love our club. Whether we win the title or not this is a great place (this forum I mean, not that Chelsea as a whole is too shabby either) to be a part of and we often have actual constructive debates about our team and others too.

Let us all be a bit happier eh? Top of the league, 6 clear. Good job in the end boys.

Lets smash Stoke (and hopefully QPR even more so) when we are back in 2 weeks.

No, Blowing a 2-0 lead was a disgrace, the critiscm was well founded. We played pretty god damn sh*t today from what I saw as we have for a few weeks now. People are rightly concerned and have a right to think we were gonna blow it.

Add to this would be really nice to see the arguments stop on here, posts like yours cause it.

You got to know though that JoeyN is like a commander, type of guy you want to follow into war, I think it's right that some of us get into line. Forum or not we are all human, it's for the best I think, I hate seeing a lot of idiotic comments on the forum including mine.

We blew a 2-0 lead for sure, as shocking as it was we should also remain calm during a game and look at the positives. I saw some comments about us giving City the title because we screwed the lead up. I think that's type of stuff he is getting at.

Can be argued Stoke are not the same Stoke they used to be either, play some decent stuff under sparky.

Unlike Hull, what do they have to lose against us? Very safe in the league, no chance to go down, no chance to make up the ground on the CL chasing sides.

They can play us however they want, lose 5-0 beat us 0-5, makes no difference other than their win bonus. How do they handle that freedom? Some sides it will liberate, others they will relax too much.

As you said Drogba is not who he used to be. The ideal for me is Jose is being a little mischievous, and it is Costa AND Remy. Think that could break Stoke down pretty well.

I really think dave and Luis should be our starting fullbacks. I'd play ivan St cb if jose doesn't want to drop him. Anyway, HUGE 3 points today and 5 mad minutes aside, i thoughts we deserved it. It's nice to have goal scoring forwards this season

No slight on stoke, I agree entirely that they are a different animal under sparky. But they do still keep it very tight away from home and try and hit on the counter. I hope they come with the attitude you say, play open against us. Remy and Costa would definitely surprise everyone, but I would love to see it.

After a cracking start, then letting them back into the game I think we got a bit fortunate in the end ... game had a draw written all over it ... but i ain't complaining.

Letting Mata go and starting up front with William and Rambo still bugs me big time ... and it definitely showed today ...

William & Rambo are both Jose type players but neither come close to Mata ...

Next two games can really be decisive. We have Stoke H and QPR A, City has Palace A and ManU A. We should win both and they can easily lose points in both games.

So I was at work (like usual) for this match, but I followed it on my phone / on this thread.  I just got home and watched the highlights.  That goal from Costa was absolutely nasty!

With that being said, I get the feeling that Ivanovic is starting to wear on more people than just me (which he has been doing for about 2 months now).  Also, I am running out of faith and trust in Mourinho.  He clearly has better options on the bench than what he is using for his starting XI, but he refuses to change it up.  I am of the opinion that if we bottle this title that Roman will run Jose out of town.

talk about a roll-a-coaster type of match OMG - first the 2-0 start - also that fine 1on1 save by Tibo - then the two goals in less than a minute for Hull - WTF? - then Tibo w/ that brilliant triple save, which IMHO enabled CFC for getting the 3 points - then DC goes out & Remy comes in to save the day - Woooo - Love being a Blues fan - Nothing is guarantee but the hate of our opponents ;)
