they really aren't.

i will give them the benefit of the doubt since they've just came back from playing internationals, but i hope to see a better performance next week. we still have arsenal away, liverpool and utd at home. if we play like we did today, we will be lucky to come away with the win. it's not asking for much to string more than a few passes together and retain posession more, and if possible kill off teams when we have chances.

You'll give them the benefit of the doubt?

Oh thank goodness, bet they're over the moon.

Ah I don't think Mini Eggs are that great myself, I'd have to have a Galaxy one aswell cause I prefer that to Cadbury's

Blasphemy.

What's wrong with you Bobby mini eggs are outstanding :)

I wish I could say I enjoyed that but it was not very comfortable. The ghost ship I was drinking was f**king delicious though. One down 5 to go

Deserved win. We dominated pretty much the whole game and if Charlie Adam had been sent off and if Courtois hadn't been so far off his line it wouldn't have been as hard on the nerves. Some good performances today and some average ones. Hazard was unreal, if he is tired he doesn't look it, he's a hell of a player and is getting better and better. Willian had one of his best performances for us, possibly his best going forward, i still think we should keep him away from corners and free kicks though. Fabregas was tidy, and the defense was very solid, Stoke weren't getting through it today. Matic looked off again at times though, some sloppy passes throughout. Cuadrado bought nothing positive to us when he came on. I think he needs more game time but i'm really struggling to see why we spent such so much money on him. Oscar coming off at half time was worrying, Mourinho seems to be losing more and more faith in him with every passing game. Courtois worries me too. He is no doubt a good keeper who is very good in the air and a very good shot stopper, but he has a fair few errors in him. He needs to cut it out of his game because i don't want to lose Cech next season and worry that we are left with a very good goalkeeper who is prone to an error every now and then.

Costa getting bought on was a very silly move, he shouldn't have even been on the bench in my opinion. It looked like a panic sub when there wasn't any real need to panic. We dominated the first half and may well have dominated the 2nd without Diego Costa. Hopefully he doesn't miss the rest of the season, but if he does, i have faith that Remy can step up and grab some more important goals. Diego Costa needs time to fully recover from this hamstring problem that he has had since he was at Atletico Madrid. Hopefully he can fully get over it when the season ends.

A good performance overall, next up, QPR.

Quick mention about the winner.

Hazard made the assist look incredibly easy but any other player and it would have been far from a formality.

He played it to perfection, and there was a nice block there too from Drogba if you look closely.

I thought it was a pretty decent performance. Haz was as magic as ever but I thought Willian really worked well with him in the second half and made a lot happen. Dave was excellent and also i felt Fab looked back to what we expect. Unfortunately Oscar still looks completely off the boil. I also thought Cahill had a decent game even though I'd rather see Zouma there.

I can't really blame Courtois for their goal.

1. It was an amazing freak shot.

2. He nearly bloody saved it.

3. Most importantly the position a goalkeeper takes up is part of the teams tactics. There's no way he's standing where he is as some sort of rogue decision. Jose would want him there and it would have been discussed. It even seemed like Stoke had noted this and had it as a tactic developed pre- game. It'll be interesting to see if it changes in future or whether Jose accepts the bloody nose but still wants Tibo pushing up.

Finally Cuadrado? There does seem to be a decent player in there but whether he can get to grips with the pace of the epl I don't think we'll know until next season.

Onwards, Upwards. Top of the league!

Hazard is the Premier League's best player by a country mile, if he doesn't win the award it's an absolute travesty.

It's actually pointless looking for a man of the match, because it's him every game, but in Betting Without Hazard, Willian has to take it today.

We were better by a landslide - they had one shot on target and it was a f**king wonder goal.

Yet the worry is, we never look like scoring many goals or burying teams - at 85 minutes it was fingernail-biting stuff.

Cuadrado seems complete and utter garbage so far ... and Drogba is simply not up to it at this level.

Costa is probably out for the season. If Remy gets injured, we're either completely f**ked or Solanke becomes a hero ...

I was just about to say this, if the ball had went to any other player I honestly don't think we would have scored.

Theres some terrible posts in match day threads, but you calling mini eggs not that great is the worst ever. How dare you....

I just can't be impressed with our performances of late, and we have tough games to come that we need to up our game a lot to win. Our passing needs to improve so much, and others need to start taking the slack off of hazard. i won't be happy until i see our players with my own eyes lifting that cup!

Profound apologies, but I struggle to understand an attitude such as yours. We are currently seven points clear with a game in hand over Arsenal. If CIty win at Palace, we will be have a six points lead and will still have a game in hand.

Fabulously wealthy though our players may be, they are still human beings. There are many in the squad for whom this would be their first Premiership title. The pressure towards the end of a long, hard Premiership season is enormous. Don't forget we've led from the front from the very start of the season. The players have lived with this pressure since August.

At this stage of the season, results are far more important than performances. You can play all the pretty football you like, but from our position, that is both where we are as a club, as well as our current league standing, a further three points on the board is ALL that matters.

How many times have you heard Man U in particular praised for grinding out results, for winning ugly? Lke it or not, this praise was fully merited, because that Ferguson's Man U team knew how to win.

Blowing the title now would be incredibly disapointing. And so you'll have to excuse me, but I'll take the three points over football that pleases the eye any day of the week.

Looking just at today's game, we were by far the better side, Stoke were as usual, fortunate to end up with eleven players on the field, and extremely fortunate in that Charlie Adams scored THE goal of his career. We deserved to win. We played well under pressure, and we're seven points clear at the top of the league.

So what's the problem?

Mini Eggs are the greatest.

When it comes to hard shell chocolates M&Ms, Minstrels and Smarties are all above Mini Eggs for me but hey on the bright side, more mini eggs for you two

If people vote for Kane or anyone else over hazard after seeing that performance from haZard they really do need to borrow my glasses...as Jose said yesterday, he's the best player in the league

I love mini eggs, but hate Easter eggs, unless it is a milky bar one

We worked hard for that. Hazard was world class. Willian was terrific. Credit to Remy who chipped in again.

I know it's early in his time here but Cuadrado looks terrible and scared to death out there. Just incredible we sold Schurrle. What were we thinking?

Anyway, three crucial points. It's going to be a long slow crawl. We really shouldn't blow it from here. But the Costa injury isn't helping.

There is a phrase where I come from - "sad f**k".  Top of the league, six points clear with game in hand against leicester and some people are complaining!  That's what we call "sad f**ks"

There's a thread called "Get A Grip" - do what it says!

When a league has rewarded our manager less MoM awards than Joe Kinnear, can you really expect them to get it right with Hazard?
