Best way the club can respond is by bringing in someone like Begovic who himself a top quality keeper and so we won't be any weaker in the reserve goalkeeper department. 

 

That and by making a statement signing of our own this summer.... Messi will do.

Hope so on both counts.

It's strange to have so little information on us being linked with players in the summer window. Either we are keeping our cards close to our chest and keeping things under wraps or we don't really have many lined up.

Hope it's the former.

I'm sad because it's another end of an era like with Drogs and Lamps, but at the end of the day we just sold our second choice keeper and while still a great keeper, he's not quite what he was. I personally believe it's possible to win things with an average keeper so I don't think selling him to Arse will make much difference, if anything his character improving their general weak character that Wenger has instilled is more damaging than gaining his GK ability. 

The guy will always be a Chelsea legend no matter what and rightly so, for me though joining a title rival personally I've lost a bit of respect for the guy.

I have lost no respect whatsoever, he wanted to stay in London and i imagine his kids and wife are very settled there.  Family is more important than footballing rivalries. He also wanted to compete at the highest level, Arsenal give him that due to champions league football. So they were the only option i imagine. Sure we have lost a top class goalkeeper and a legend but we now have a legend in the making.  

 

It's not going to be nice seeing him in an Arsenal shirt but I wish him all the best and hope he continues to be a top class keeper. I just don't want him to win anything.

I find it a little odd that Petr's family are not mentioned at all. Given what has been said about them being a primary reason to move to arsenal, the letter and his quotes on sky are all about a new challenge at arsenal.

I would have thought he would have thanked Roman openly for helping him to stay in London where his family are settled.
