Can't believe he f*cked up probably Argentina's last chance of winning silverware with the current generation of players. As one of the world's most coveted no.9's I really did expect to put away that penalty but he bottled it.

On a side note how audacious was Sanchez's penalty. He was a player I think a lot of our fans regret missing out on. I Remember watching him live a couple of years ago. And was so impressed with his dribbling and pace. Even more so then I already was.

Yep, really liked him in Serie A and hoped we'd go for him before he went to Barca.  TBH, I was quite shocked when Arsenal landed him.

He also had a very good chance in the last minute of normal time. Some may argue that the pass to him was heavy but I think a top class striker like aguero or costa would have tucked it away

At Madrid I always he thought he looked better than Benzema a lot of the games. But then once he was the main man at Napoli he hasn't shown an awful lot.

Robben bottled it for most of his career and he got his hands on the champions league eventually. So maybe Higuain might have the same path..

Think it was Udinese he was at and yeah even at Barca he looked great at times but didn't get as much of a look in after their new signings. He hit the crossbar against us didn't he in the UCL. On a not so happy memory he went down like he'd been hit by a sniper after getting kneed by JT.

Diego Costa is fighting for his Chelsea future with Napoli’s Gonzalo Higuain high on the wish list of the Blues' long-term targets, according to the Daily Mirror.

Costa, who hit 21 goals last season following his move from Atletico Madrid, has just three to his name this term as Chelsea sit 16th in the Premier League.

Higuain, who was heavily linked with a move to Arsenal in the summer, has 65 goals in 117 appearances for the Serie A side.

At a cut price I'd take him as a replacement for Falcao in the squad but not as a replacement for Diego. 

Still not more then 27. I thought he was in his 30s by now.

Scored plenty over his career. I'd be happy if he came, but seeing how napoli squeezed 63m out for cavani. I think he would be very expensive.

There really is a shortage of top strikers these days, and it's been that way for about 5 years.

Pato is available for 14m and seems to be over the niggling injuries that halted his progression. I always liked the look of him at milan, maybe would be worth a punt at that price.

Pato is a great shout at that price - guy is still under 30 and banging them at the moment.

Maybe, but things have changed since then. Cavani was the one doing the business for them in the Champions League, which they are not a part of now. PSG were also spending silly amounts of money on everyone then. Luiz, Lucas, Pastore, Marquinhos and Luiz were all over £40m and I'm sure they bought all of those within a couple of seasons.
