August 6, 201510 yr There seems to be no patience anymore whatsoever. Judge him after he's had a proper run of competitive games, at least.he has never been the same since his injury. No need to "wait and see", it ain't gonna happen
August 6, 201510 yr There seems to be no patience anymore whatsoever. Judge him after he's had a proper run of competitive games, at least. There is no patience with any players anymore among our fans, the spoilt attitude of some of our fans on here really annoys me, unless a player immediately hits the ground running they're woeful footballers. August 6, 201510 yr There seems to be no patience anymore whatsoever. Judge him after he's had a proper run of competitive games, at least. There isn't patience because many of us could see exactly this happening - it's just so predictable. I desperately want to be proved wrong and would love him to come good but right now Torres looks a f**king good player in comparison.
August 6, 201510 yr He looks really out of breath in many of the close up's, looks like he could lose a few pounds as well.
August 6, 201510 yr jose said that he needs to increase his fitness levels because he is a few weeks behind the others still. our training methods are most probably a lot different to van gaals at utd's, so understandably he needs to get his fitness up. he was up and down that field last night, even got back to put a tackle in at one point.
August 6, 201510 yr trying to withhold judgement until he's had a run of games, but TBH I'm not expecting much. More and more it's proving a strange signing. I'll be watching Palace games with interest this season to see how Bamford progresses
August 6, 201510 yr He does look well off the pace at the moment. An early goal would really help his confidence.
August 6, 201510 yr I never thought we would have a striker at the level of incompetence of Torres, but Falcao truly looks worse. Shocked at this transfer.
August 6, 201510 yr dunno how he looks worse, torres was with us for 4 years, falcao has been here for 4 mins.
August 6, 201510 yr The video is entirely blameless. That's true !. I actually hope my pessimism is misplaced, not just because it would be great for us,but it would also be a poke in the eye for United.

I think there would have been a lot more patience if it wasn't for the fact that Falcao has been awful for some time now.
August 6, 201510 yr can we not talk any more about him negatively, and instead only bump this thread when he scores or assists (cue the inevitable jokes lol) Edited August 6, 201510 yr by enigma
August 6, 201510 yr I think there would have been a lot more patience if it wasn't for the fact that Falcao has been awful for some time now. Cuadrado is the same, so many people have jumped on his back despite playing just over 300 mins of football for us. RLC as well, plays in the last few games for us and I've seen multiple "he doesn't look impressive, he won't make it here" It just seems that unless the player we buy isn't one of this years transfer deadline darlings such as pogba, reus or griezmann people aren't willing to give them a decent chance to prove themselves.
August 6, 201510 yr Coming on with 20-30 mins to go with the oppostions tired legs, Fabregas pulling the strings, i am sure we can get him scoring again.
August 6, 201510 yr reus and griezmann confuse me the most, considering neither of them would take up a position in the team where we don't already have someone. reus is a right footed player and isn't exactly a traditional winger, so he would be wasted on the RW, and griezmann is more of a striker these days and certainly not that good of a RW that he warrants all the praise and hype he's been getting, although not denying he's a talented player. pogba is still a question mark and we have someone with similar traits in loftus-cheek who can arguably be our own pogba given time, but those three are hardly the kind of players we "need" instead they're just wants and not necessarily very intelligent wants considering value, potential and positions they play. I agree but the thing is, we don't have the luxury of giving players a chance and hoping they might come good.A few bad performances and we will be playing catch up in the league, we really need everyone spot on from the beginning. If we were a mid table side it wouldn't matter too much, and we could give run outs to any Tom dick or harry.
August 6, 201510 yr I haven't seen anything that tells me Falcao is going to be great for us but giving him some benefit of the doubt I'd say from my observations a few things...he doesn't hide away from the ball ala Torres, he makes reasonable runs, he looks a bit unfit and maybe carrying a bit more weight than when he was at his best and he has stayed in a league that he knows after his spell at UTD exactly how difficult it is. All these things give me a bit of hope, added to the feeling I had when he went to UTD that he just might be a great signing if he can regain the form he undoubtably had and that although that didn't work out as I expected the fact that Jose has taken a punt on him gives me the feeling he has seen something in him that tells him there is a fair chance of the right manager getting him into some form. I won't pretend Jose isn't a good judge of a player because Cuadrado has been a dissapointment, in fact that just makes me believe it's unlikely he'll get another one wrong in the near future. Here's hoping within a few weeks of the proper season we see Falcao shed a few pounds and gain a bit of confidence, thats when we can start to judge him fairly.
August 6, 201510 yr Imagine if It was Eden in his first Pre season, he has looked woeful so far, but we know differently?
August 6, 201510 yr Imagine if It was Eden in his first Pre season, he has looked woeful so far, but we know differently? One came here having just been named player of the season in France, the other off the manyoo reject list.
