£12.5m is probably about right, if anything it's a fairer reflection on player value than we've been seeing recently.

£30m for Luke Shaw was ridiculous... If Clyne wasn't English he wouldn't be getting anywhere near the levels of praise he does. He's a decent right back but I don't think he's going to make that Liverpool side much better, especially with Rogers gung ho tactics, he's probably going to be caught out of position in the oppositions half a lot during the season.

The only person who put in more tackles in the entire league last season is Matic.

I think its a coup by the dippers, sadly.

It's a great price tbh.

Not sure if he is that good but seems to have a fair bit of potential.

Liverpools transfers so far have been impressive, a complete U turn on last season sadly.

I think their squad looks bloated and unbalanced right now, no idea what sort of formation Rodgers is intending on using next season.

Let's just assume it's 4-2-3-1 like most sides are using, how will they line up?

Minge Olé

Clyne - Skrtel - Lovren - Moreno

Henderson- Lucas

Millner - Firmino - Lallana

Sturridge

Bear in mind that even then there's the likes of Can, Allen, Markovic, Lambert, Balotelli still in there and then you have players like Ibe, Origi, Borini floating around too.

I'm just struggling to see what their building personally.

Still very early in the transfer window.

I expect them to sell a few and obviously selling Sterling will being in £40-50 million so another 2/3 players should be coming in.

You forgot Coutinho and Danny Ings as well. Are we assuming Sterling is moving?

I think the front 6 will be

------Can(Lucas) - Henderson(Allen)

Milner(Ibe) - Coutinho(Lallana) - Firmino(Markovic)

------------Sturridge(Ings)

The striker position looks bloated as you say with several players they would like to get rid of but will struggle to.

Yup forgot about Courtinho, I was trying to think where Lallana was going to play.

Strange to think that £45m worth of attacking midfielders they signed last season might already be considered 2nd choice.

Strikers wise they have Sturridge, Ings, Borini, Balotelli, Lambert, Origi and Aspas (although I think his loan was made permanent as part of the deal) but either way that's 6 or 7 players possibly on the books for one position... Even if they play two up front they're overstocked.

They're likely to take a pretty hefty loss on whoever they do sell. Lambert, Balotelli, Aspas and Borini might all have to leave and they'll be lucky to get £20m for all 4 combined. Considering they paid out roughly £38m for those players it's a shocking bit of business on their part.

My assumption is the reason we're looking at that Baba bloke is because when Ivan doesn't cut it anymore, we will switch Azpi to his natural position and bring in a LB to replace the gap that he's left. If Jose does plan to keep Azpi as a LB then I do think we should be in for him.

It is very possible but the only issue would be we'be been playing Azpilicueta as a left back and he really has made that position his own. But we'd be hoping he can continue that form at right back which is a position he wouldn't have played for a fair few years.

Surprised that they sold Clyne for 1/3 what they sold Shaw for when he's probably further along than Shaw was in his development.

We're looking good for a deal with Schneiderlin, looks like we've beaten Arsenal to him. Sensible buy if true, chuffed.

I would have liked us to sign him. I think if you get him you will have made a very good signing. I rate him higher than Blind and Carrick.

To be fair to Rio Ferdinand I could see him wanting to keep busy after what he's been through

Rough time alright but f**k that imagine listening to him.

Really hope new york city falls flat on their arses....not because of frank...but because they`re man city`s franchise club and they play in that crappy light blue.

Southampton fire sale has started

Victims of their own success.

How a club is supposed to break the stranglehold on the 6 when any glimpse of success sees all your best players sold is beyond me.

Lucas up for sale at Liverpool.

Strange decision if true.

They're overstocked in the middle at the moment they've got Milner, Can, Hendersen, Courtinho, Allen and Lucas who can all play in the middle, I think it was always likely someone would have to go especially as it seems Rogers might be abandoning the 3 man defence.

Is it? I'm surprised he is still there. I see him to be a bit like our very own Mikel; he's been in the squad for years but why? Plenty better players than him already there.
