Naah just not convincing enough - they were obvious dives I never believed him for a moment.  Now if you had really thought he had a broken leg, that would've been worthy of an oscar.

But yes, he was a bit like Meryl Streep: you'd always know it's Acting. Only this time at least the accent is real.

You can be as confident in Chelsea as you want, but don't deliberately try to make out everyone else has done nothing to strengthen.

I'd put him up there though, probably just ahead of Van der Sar and behind Schmeichel who (obviously) for me is the best keeper I've ever seen alongside Kahn.

You look at the number of clean sheets Cech has compared to the number of games played.

In a league of his own.

Though to be fair, he's played behind astonishingly good defences which helps.

But would that defence be as good as it has been if it didn't have Cech in goal helping to organise them? 

 

Cech played for what, 8 different managers during his time at Chelsea? (ignoring Wilkins taking temporary charge) 

 

That's a lot of different tactical approaches and mindsets and yet he still always played well and kept huge number of clean sheets.

I'd go with that.

Schmeichel was a fantastic keeper no doubt about it but he wasn't the best by any means.

Seaman was good but he was nowhere near Schmeichel. I think it's easy to forget how good Schmeichel was when we haven't seen him play for so many years. He was unbelievable at times. I do rate Cech very highly but Schmeichel was better all around than Cech. VDS was a top keeper aswell but I thought his communication with his defenders wasn't as the same level as Cech/PS. Just my opinion of course.
