The second disallowed goal was the correct decision, but other than that this has been one of the most one-sided refereeing performance this season.

Happy with that result. Had a draw on my accy.

A draw is good but we're not going to finish in any sort of European spot so as long as Arsenal didn't win that was the main thing.

Good to see the FSW having a positive impact since taking over at Newcastle.

Watching Arsenal Fan TV and I almost feel sorry for the Arsenal support (almost!). They knew exactly what was going to happen today with Carroll doing his Drogba impression, they knew exactly the response from Wenger but they know he's sticking around next season. One of their fan's is talking about accountability and he's spot on, but I wonder how many other clubs feel that? It's an awful feeling of powerlessness, but the Villa fans are going through something similar and I think we are in a number of ways.

 

There's just such a disconnect between those who run the clubs for whom the TV money means they're winners before a ball is kicked and the fans for whom those 90 minutes are the be all and end all.

 

It reminds me of that Chaplin film where the soldiers from each side have more in common with one another than they do their own generals. Looking at the recent ticket fiasco it feels more and more like it's the supporters against the clubs rather than the supporters against one another....unless it's Leeds fans. Everyone is against them.
