How can he make a few mistakes and play well ? he was also lucky not to be sent off for clipping Matuidi in the penalty area. He's a poor defender.

It's not unheard of for a player to have a shaky start and then play well for the majority of the game.

I thought it was a penalty at first but having seen the replay it looks like Matudi clips Mangala's leg, not the other way around. Could have still been given mind but, with the benefit of replays, I don't think it's a penalty. Howard Webb didn't seem to think it was either, make of that what you will.

Give over, he was terrible all game, his positional play belongs in Sunday league. PSG were sauntering through the city defence at will, the first half especially. He gets dragged out of defence with embarrassing ease by any semi intelligent player leaving massive gaps for midfielders to break into.

does anyone wonder why these top players go to psg? the league is very poor (for e.g. they're 25 points ahead of 2nd placed monaco), the city has almost become a terrorist hotspot, and they're no closer to winning the champions league since their owner took over. the only explanation can be money because i don't see where the real motivation/incentive is for these players.

Money really.

It's enough for the vast majority of players who move for the coin.

At PSG they are pretty much guaranteed trophies, CL football and a hefty pay packet. That's a big lure to most.

It was strange last night.

Dortmund looked a shadow of the side that thumped Spuds, I really thought they would steam roll Liverpool with the form they have been in.

The game at Anfield will be interesting, I don’t think Liverpool can keep a clean sheet but Dortmund need to up their game a few levels if they are to go through.

Huge weekend of football at the top.

Neither game easy for Spurs or Arsenal and Leicester go to Sunderland who are fighting for their lives.

Have a feeling it will be Spurs making up ground this weekend.

If Leicester do not beat Fat Sam and his merry band of militiamen, then they deserve nothing. Sunderland are awful and this should be a routine win for Champions elect.

Leicester always seem better away from home too as the home side don't usually sit as deep as teams visiting The King Power Stadium.

Aston Villa may be relegated today. Theirs has been a pointless (almost literally) season. Fair play to those of their fans who turn up for games.

I wonder if Villa will go straight down next season too?

A draw would be better. We still have a slim chance of catching the hamsters.

Not bothered about catching anybody now tbf. Too little too late. Need that title to land in the Midlands.

Arsenal are getting all the luck... West Ham's goal was well onside and Monreal dived in the build up to Arsenal's goal.

Was it a dive? Didn't see the replay, looked like he was just trying to control a backheel while he was off balance.
