No idea but he's finished IMO.

All those injuries keep happening time and time again. He had a good season a few back but ever since then he's been pretty average.

He only gets the plaudits because the rest of City's defenders are absolutely woeful.

Made a few mistakes but I thought Mangala played well. Seems to perform in the important games. 

 

Another player I think will do a lot better under Pep system. 

Two away goals for City - priceless. I think they'll go through.

Luiz shouldn't be a massive loss for PSG because they've got Marquinhos, but if Matuidi AND Verratti are out then the English branch of the City Football Group are going through.

 

With the prospect of that happening it's surprising that they're advertising on the radio to flog tickets for this one. Maybe the hardcore support is waiting for a 241 offer again.

I just don't like this culture of giving the manager more attention than the game, A United friend of mine said next season's Liverpool/City game could be unbearable if it's on BT Sport, A Guardiola cam and a Klopp cam and i agree, Sky aren't that bad on things like this but BT Sport are the worst, They love non footballing issues to discuss before a game.

 

Regards to our game, Both sides were sloppy but we were always a threat on the counter, Once we got that 2nd goal that sort of knocked the stuffing out of them, They were really flat for the last 10/15 minutes, Whether that's due to their physical condition not being great due to all the resting and rotating since they've won their league already or whether we just grew in confidence. I was actually fairly confident of a result having seen them play against your mob, I watched the 2nd leg of your game two or three times and after the first 20 minutes of that game, You absolutely bossed the midfield until half time, Willian was a threat, Costa was all over them, Their defenders kept giving the ball way, It was only until in the 2nd half where as soon as they scored, It was sort of game over.

How can he make a few mistakes and play well ? he was also lucky not to be sent off for clipping Matuidi in the penalty area. He's a poor defender.

Remember when Eduardo was banned for Arsenal for diving in the Champions League qualifier ? why haven't UEFA banned more players since ? it's annoying that players like Marcello are allowed to get away with this.

They rescinded the ban almost straight after IIRC as they conceded it would have opened up a can of worms.

 

Agree they should start doing it more with every clear dive, but I must say I had some sympathy for Eduardo in that case as he was and has been the only person banned for diving in the competition's history - why suddenly ban just him? 

 

It should be one clear rule applicable to every club/player - unfortunately though that is the case now, the rule is currently 'you are allowed to dive'.
