Following Our Nearest & Dearest Rivals, 2015/2016

The FA Cup really is a great tournament. From over 700 teams to 2 teams. Thousands upon thousands of players participating every year.

90,000 people singing their hearts out in a positive way. Few "__ out" banners or "you're f**king sh*t" chants.

After seeing an atmosphere like that tonight, you have to acknowledge that even though big teams may find it inconvenient and tedious, it's precisely the long journey that makes it special.

What a difference 26 years makes. When Crystal Palace played Man United in the 1990 FA Cup final, every single player on both teams was British. The entire Crystal Palace team was English.

Who could have predicted how much things would change? Maybe that's a reason the FA Cup has gotten devalued, the fact that there are so few English players who appreciate what the FA Cup means.

if this is true united are the biggest hypocrites going, they go on about class and how classless we are because of our treatment of managers and then they do this, sack the man after winning them the fa cup !!

The day red nose retired they became just another club, Don't listen to a word of what they say, Like you said the biggest hypocrites going, The anti Mourinho, anti Chelsea sentiment that started in the early Abramovich era was their pr machine going into over drive, You do realize that, Every achievement you lot earned they tried to down play as they could not bear someone stealing their thunder, All this United are not that bad nonsense that i hear from some guys on this forum makes me laugh.

It makes you laugh cause of your clear bias, don't act like you know better than some people it's all about opinions at the end of the day.

What are you on about? They are our direct title/city/arch rivals, Of course i'm going to be bias, It would be more worrying if i wasn't bias and was all objective, F-ck that, What's the point of being a fan if you're meant to be objective? I'm a City supporter not a football supporter or analyst.

To be fair to United it's the BBC that appear to have jumped the gun here, doubt we'll see anything official from the club for a couple of days.

Betting has been suspended so that says something, How will you view Mourinho when he comes back to the bridge with United? Same question for the others on here as well.

Very uncomfortable to see Jose at another pl club...came back with inter, knocked us out of cl and while disappointed, I didn't feel any angst toward him...to see him turn Utd around will be hard to bear

To be honest, i don't care anymore, it's been obvious that Mourinho would be going to United next season for some time now. I gotta start looking forward, i can't be bothered moaning about where our ex players / coaches are going anymore. Chelsea need to move on and look forward. We have our own sh*t to worry about.

Good point

Well winning the league just became that much harder. Pep and Jose to beat. Conte and Chelsea will have to be very smart about how we do our business and perform over the next few seasons. Otherwise we're battling with Arsenal for 3rd/4th.

I think we'll start to dislike him when he starts doing his business, the first thing he'll do is not allow us to sign Mata, I bet he'd rather keep him benched all season just to deny us.

Pep's Bayern beat Ludenscheid-Nord in the DFB-Pokal, good way to sign off.

The same as any other opposition manager, his time here will be completely irrelevant to me when we play United. Can't pine for the past.

Jose will receive a warm welcome when he returns I'm sure. But I won't deny I hope he becomes a specialist in failure at United.

There are no guarantee's though, just look at us under Mourinho this season.

One thing that will work in Jose's favour will be the blank chequebook he should have to work with, can see him bringing in four or five solid players.

He'll sign a few world class players and they'll win the league next season

No it wouldn't just because they are a direct rival doesn't mean you have to talk bullsh*t constantly. Be an adult don't be a f**king clown.
