May 26, 201610 yr Zlatan is so going to United. Great addition for Mourinho already, can't really think of a striker that is more suited to this league. He's bullied Terry physically already so no doubt he'll be fine against whoever he comes up against.
May 26, 201610 yr Won't sort there defence out They're interested in Koulibaly too apparently... if they sign him and Morata (perhaps Kante too?) and retain Giroud/Sanchez/Ozil I can't see past them winning it next year... they may even be serious contenders for the CL Edited May 26, 201610 yr by the special one
May 26, 201610 yr Can it be more obvious than that? Zlatan will wear a United shirt next season. He can win us the league on his own - just like RVP did in that season.
May 26, 201610 yr What an awful guy, I can't stand watching him. No doubt he'd be a good addition for you guys though.
May 26, 201610 yr looking at getting their big signings in quick like we done in the season we won it. How ridiculous would it be if Wenger actually wins the title now that he has to compete against Jose, Guardiola and Conte all at the same time.

May 26, 201610 yr I wonder if Mourinho will finally break Wenger, or if the ManU connection re-energises Wenger, those old time Fergie spats were great, such fun for the neutral. Also I'm hoping the box office shananigans oop North might take the spotlight off Chelsea for a season and we can go about our business without too much controversy (some hope)

I was looking at headlines and it had battle of the managers (Klopp, Jose, Pep and Wenger) Conte was not pictured or included in their group.
May 26, 201610 yr I think the spotlight is already off us to a certain extent. I was looking at headlines and it had battle of the managers (Klopp, Jose, Pep and Wenger) Conte was not pictured or included in their group. That's good in my opinion, can quietly go about our business.
May 26, 201610 yr Issue is if Alves moves to Juve, Barca will come in for Bellerin Aleix Vidal plays right back for them.
May 26, 201610 yr I hope so, mind you it might be different when we actually unveil Conte. A quiet season would make a refreshing change. Edited May 26, 201610 yr by SHELLY
May 26, 201610 yr I am currently watching I Believe In Miracles, the Documentary about Brian Clough. I am amazed how you English didn't allow this Great Mind to coach your National Team. What were you people thinking?

He's bullied Terry physically already so no doubt he'll be fine against whoever he comes up against. The whole of JT's chelsea career i've never seen him bullied. He may have lost battles but hes never been bullied by anyone. ibrahimovic has made a career out of being a faux hardman amongst pansy footballers. In the 70's he would have had his shorts pulled down and his ass slapped. He will score a few goals for united but the facts are he is in his mid 30's, straight out of a poor league and now stepping into probably the fastest league in the world. Ego or not hes just after a payday.
May 26, 201610 yr Won't sort there defence out They are a bit suspect from set pieces but their defence is fine for the most part, only United and Spurs conceded less this season and the season before they only conceded 4 more goals than us.

What were you people thinking? Agreed 100%. That's the FA for you. I love Clough's quote: "I'm not saying I'm the best manager but I'm in the top one"
May 26, 201610 yr Football authorities cracking down heavily on poor conduct by LFC fans. A huge fine. We might need to have a whip round for them: http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36391328
May 26, 201610 yr Won't sort there defence out Is there defence that bad? They only conceded 1 more than Leicester and spurs, who had the joint best defence last season.

What were you people thinking? Watched it a couple of months ago, brilliant film. Some great insight and interviews into the Clough era in the seventies. 'Tony Woodcock what do you do?' I score goals 'Good answer'

May 26, 201610 yr I can't believe that movie cast a 5ft scouser to play Bremner Different movie dude. Youre thinking of The Damned United
May 26, 201610 yr I can't believe that movie cast a 5ft scouser to play BremnerNo that was The Damned United. This film is more of a documentary. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk

May 26, 201610 yr Agreed 100%. That's the FA for you. I love Clough's quote: "I'm not saying I'm the best manager but I'm in the top one" My village football club had Mark Crossley as the guest speaker the other week. He played under Clough in the 90s and told some hilarious stories about him. We had Dean Saunders two years ago and he did the same. Clough was a unique character with very rare abilities as a manager. The Damned United is a fantastic book.
