Any legit reason that Wilshere was picked before Drinkwater?

He did OK against Barcelona several years ago. He's amazing....

Football can be an indicator when there's social unrest. Think you have a point.

It could also be due to a fading memory of how bad it was, and the consequences (banned from European football, for example)

England have made the same old mistakes yet again. Wilshire, Henderson and Sturridge all on the plane despite not being fit and we leave out a PL champion for it.

Kinda pathetic really.

Great. Let's pick injury prone players.

Unbelievable isn't it, 2 of our midfielders are crocks and massive gambles, with Rooney as a stand in.

3 shonky centre backs, 1 dm, 2 stupid full backs. Great.

Agreed. It doesn't matter how good you are if you can't play due to injury. My big worry is that, if our attacking pace drops off, our defence will not be up to the task.

You lot think you've got problems? We've picked a bloke with a broken leg. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36414580Speaks volumes about the depth of our squad.

But yeah, that is very unfair on Drinkwater. Seems Hodgson hasn't got the balls to drop a 'big' name.

Fair play, it shows the lad has grit. Some players are off for two months with a sprained ankle. It's not ideal however.

Not sure how much is to do with his grit, and how much is to do with the fact that he's probably better with a broken leg than whoever else we've got.

He probably won't be able to play until the final

Vardy to Arsenal odds have dropped from 7/1 to 7/4 since yesterday, Considering he has a £20 m buyout clause that would be great business, If Arsenal do get him they aren't messing about this year, A CB away from seriously challenging.

He would be stupid to sign for them, even Leicester are more ambitious than Arsenal. If i was Vardy or any Leicester player, i would feel that my chances of success were greater at Leicester than they are with Arsenal. If i was a gambling man, i would gamble on Leicester to win the Champions League before Arsenal any time soon. Arsenal don't try to win the competition, all they do is try and qualify for it.

Not sure why people are complaining about Wilshere, he's been England's best midfielder for quite some time now. Even half fit he's still better than the others. Players like Henderson and Barkley who have been underwhelming at best for England are more of a concern for me.

It doesn't matter how much better he is than the rest, he's been injured all season, there is no way he is at the same fitness levels as the rest of the squad. How many times does this have to happen to England before it sinks in that it doesn't work ?

The guy should have to start proving his fitness before coming back into the team. England can't keep preparing for tournaments carrying an unfit player who constantly get's injured.

He really isn't even England's best midfielder, overrated as hell. He's constantly running into players then starting fights with them. He'll do one spectacular(ish) thing like hit a worldly that hits the post and the media cream all over him. I honestly rate Henderson and Barkley over him, also based on fitness and firm Drinkwater should be going.
