Quite the move by Arsenal.  Personally, I think that Leicester players probably think that they'l never achieve what they have done ever again.  Therefore, the players that are being linked with moves into perennial CL teams will jump at the chance

Arsenal have triggered Vardy's release clause apparently.

I'd want Vardy to show that he's not a one season wonder and can handle the temptations of fame. He seems like the type that could get screwed up by the money, fame, etc.

This is two weeks old, but I didn't see it until now and don't see any posts mentioning it.

Southampton gave Kelvin Davis a testimonial, and his 11 year old son played in it. The son got fouled in the penalty area (the player assigned to manufacture the penalty by pushing over an 11 year old must feel like a prick :laugh2:).

This is what happened :shok:

Everton are in talks with Koeman. Smart move on their half

That's a head scratcher. Why would he leave Southampton when they've had such a good season and are in Europe next year?

Maybe Southampton have told him that they will be selling their top players again, there is only so far you can take a club when the board keeps selling your top players.

I don't see it being very different at Everton though. I don't think they will keep hold of Lukaku, Stones and Barkley for much longer.

His comments at the end of the season seemed to be like he wasn't happy at Soton. Now whilst I totally couldn't see a manager with CL football going there I can see a manager with EL football moving to a team not in Europe. Especially Everton given the huge financial backing they're probably going to have, it's just a task for him now to try and persuade players like Lukaku, Barkley and Stones to stay.

I wouldn't have been happy if we bought zlatan. At his age and comig from a poor league, it stinks of a business move more than anything. They will sell merchandise for sure, but in a footballing aspect I don't think he'll be that effective. May prove me wrong though.

I think Zlatan will have much more impact than a Pato, Facao or a Remy, so if Rashford continues his rise and they sign one other quality striker I think they'll have a very effective set of striking options. I think he'll have one decent season here and he'll add experience to an oddly inexperienced United squad.

Problem with that is Jose only plays one on top & even when he has two on the field, one will be shafted to the wings (in this case Rashford). Can't see Rashford getting much game time unless Zlatan gets injured, and you can't just bench Zlatan. Think Rashford will have to make do with the odd 20mins & cup games.

That's a good point. It's unknown how the incoming sugar daddy at Everton will act. Maybe they have agreed to give Koeman more control.

My first thought however was that Koeman is using this to try to get a better contract with Southampton. A "better contract" might not mean money but rather things like control over player transfers.

falcao had a decent scoring % in ligue 1 before he got injured too. it's a poor league and psg winning the league with a 30 point gap proves this. majority of ibrahimovic's goals come from tap ins or penalties from what i've seen. the defending in that league is piss poor and the goalkeeping too it seems. his name will be the main boost to the club next season. it is why i never understand players, who at least have a little ambition, want to go play there.

Did well against Chelsea.

Nothing like Falcao, will score lots of goals, imo
