How many times especially second half did Dave get in good positions only to waste them by having to switch inside onto his right foot, let's hope he is finally switched to the right as I really think he has the pace to get round the outside and cause teams problems. Has the engine too to get up and down.

At this point Cuadrado is nothing more than a £27m burden to the club.

We must have called back Moses and Traore for a reason... Namely that Cuadrado has been a massive pile of w**k... So let's justify recalling those players and give them the chances they deserve.

You're really going to blame that completely sh*t performance on Cuadrado? Not players like Costa who looks like  50 year old walking through treacle? Or Hazard who looks like he spent the whole summer in Mcdonalds? Or Ivanovic who cocked up for two of the goals? Cuadrado is just your scapegoat and your way of dancing around the fact that we are utter sh*t at the moment.

Did you even read what he wrote? How is he blaming Cuadadro?

Did you actually read the conversation?

Either you didn't and you've just taken the point raised completely out of context or you're reading comprehension isn't very good.

Implying that all of the sudden Moses or Traore would have won us the game. I thought Cuadrado didn't put a foot wrong when he came on and he's still getting berated despite all of our 'star' players playing terribly.

I see that the ridiculous match day report on Chelsea's site is being mocked by BBC News this morning.

Sometimes you just need to hold your hands up. We got a hammering yesterday, no doubt about it. Begovic is the only man who deserves some credit for their performance.

All this trolling, reports, jokes around the world on us. Sometimes people forget that this match was only our 2nd match of the league and we have a LONG SEASON to forget this result. I really hope Jose will shut everyone up with a good football and with a title in his hands at the end of the season.

I think Costa needs dropped until his fitness is up to scratch, he looked clumsy, slow and his first touch was non existent.

Trouble is Remy looks just as rusty while Falcao is....well shot.

I can't believe Jose started Fabregas alongside Matic. He is not a holding midfielder, unathletic and tactically not with it when we are not in possession. Zouma,Ramirez, even Mikel for his positioning all better options.

Ivanovic has come up against two quality wide men in both games, even so he is not going to get any quicker, at centre back he should be less exposed. Rahman straight in at left back Azpilacuta right back. I wish people would stop critiscing Cuadrado he has not had many opportunities so far. I always give foreign players at least one whole season to adapt to the unique conditions over here. Would not have sold Schurle though. Please be patient it is only two games , I am sure improvement will come slowly game by game.

That's not what he said either, you seem to have taken it the completely wrong way.

Problem is Costa needs to play games to get there, he had similar issues at times last season

I can't bear that biased match report, it's pathetic. What happened to gracefully accepting defeat to a team that played better? In no way did we deserve to win that game, City were by far the better team on the day and I congratulate them for a really strong performance. They look a different side now with Kompany and Toure back in form, Aguero playing 80+ minutes and Sterling offering some real width and pace on the left.

Costa looks a shadow of himself compared to this time last year.  I think he has psychological problems concerning his hamstrings, perhaps understandably, but he offered next to nothing yesterday compared to Aguero or even Gomis the week before.  When he loses the ball he strolls around bemoaning to the referee's or smacks the turf.  He and others around him that provide him the support need to get their sh*t together or it will be a season of mediocre football grinding out results to stay in the top 4.  I am sure Jose will sort this mess out but lets hope its sooner rather than later, albeit a long season ahead, falling too far behind even in the early stages of the campaign could prove fatal to retaining the title.

I don't blame them to be honest, that write up is almost satirical.

Time for a massive self-serving of comfort food, taken straight from the shelf marked ‘Special Offer - Giant-Sized Foregone Conclusion For Sale’. Because that is what this result was, and no, I’m not going to apologise for [temporarily] papering over the cracks and absolving Chelsea from what was an all too easy acquiescence. Instead, I’m going to start by stating the obvious - that this was never going to be the game to judge us on, as it was the nearest thing to a stage-managed affair as you could possibly wish to see. In short, a fanfare facelift for the Etihad Stadium that needed more than just mere admiring glances, an opening fixture that needed more than just any old football match on show, so the whole of Sky’s marriage-planner style celebration needed more than just your ordinary, everyday opposition to be duly sacrificed under the blue half Mancunian gaze of its increased attendance.

Ever stopped to wonder why the Premiership Champions were selected to play the runner-up in their very first home game of the new season? A luck of the draw moment? Selection so fortuitous for City that it, quite literally, made their day? On first take, this fixture stretched belief well beyond the bounds of possibility, and the inevitable double-take that followed sent it even farther down into the murky depths of connivance and collusion. But then again, what good would such a spectacle be if the pre-prepared parade was rained on result-wise? Well, of course,  nobody can guarantee good weather or the poor-playing of opposition, but outside influence might, just might, include the vital gifting of [fifty-fifty] offside benefit to the defending home side, perhaps even the non-issue of a deserved red card, or the unduly late issue of yellow ones, thereby ensuring a good day being had by all eleven players [who mattered] on this particular special occasion. After all, if such sway can actually be brought into play, it’s not as if any self-respecting official club website’s going to have the brass neck cheek to print the viewpoint, even if there was an element of truth in it…. are they?

So, in conclusion, who can deny that this was a ’special occasion’ transcending the game itself, a new and improved stadium shindig we were a party to, but were never going to be allowed to party at. Body language on both sides said as much from the start, and in the end we were best off out of there, bowed and bloodied as we were, with plenty of time left for us, the fans, to witness a resurgence, an overhaul, and, if we’re lucky, maybe even an evolution emerging from the aftermath. In the meantime City’s old guard and manager will try to emulate our past achievements in the short time they have left together [before Pep arrives] having one last chance in the European saloon and a final stab at regaining the title. We did it with a show of character, but that’s likely to be one step beyond as far as they are concerned.

There you go everyone, our new midfielder! And still with almost 2 weeks left in the transfer window! Now who says we've been tardy this window?
