January 31, 201610 yr A Loan move to Ajax hopefully happens. It will be the best thing for him. But not for us it would seem ;)
January 31, 201610 yr Gets a proper chance, scores a goal. More to come from him. Hope so, with Pato arriving i can't see it though.
January 31, 201610 yr As was said he took his goal well. Think he could play on rw as well as striker. He is a good finisher from what i have seen so if he gets the chances he'll for sure score goals.
January 31, 201610 yr Hope so, with Pato arriving i can't see it though. In my opinion, there's no reason why Pato would play before Traore. Traore has proved himself that he got football in his legs. To be honest, I will play him even before Pedro.

I agree, but we are Chelsea, youngsters seem to always be behind the big names no matter how bad those big names play.
February 13, 201610 yr Pato before him? Never More time for him, more goals to come. He's real talent. Edited February 13, 201610 yr by IliyaKrostin
February 13, 201610 yr Pato before him? Never More time for him, more goals to come. He's real talent. I agree. I think Traore is even ahead of Remy now. I know Remy has just got back from injury, but in the past it would be Remy usually coming on for Costa. I'm glad Traore was the one to come on though. If he get's the minutes on the pitch, he could grow into a very very good footballer.
February 13, 201610 yr well taken goal today and showed appetite for closing down too. Good 30 mins for him.
February 13, 201610 yr I personally see more potential in Traore than Ruben Loftus Cheek. Mind you, this is based on a very limited number of games, and they are both young and still in the development stage of their careers. Traore has so much raw talent, and he makes himself felt. I found this picture of Traore at age 14 before he was "discovered" at the U17 World Cup. A scrawny 14 year old kicking butt at the U17 level! Edited February 13, 201610 yr by offside
February 13, 201610 yr Has he moved ahead of Remy in the pecking order? I was wondering that too. Rémy was on the bench, but a combination of Rémy just coming back from injury and us already being 4-0 up may have led Guus to bring on Traoré instead. I was thrilled to see Traoré score his first (and Burkina Faso's first) Premier League goal today. I think he played really well, far better than I expected; he took his finish well, he made intelligent runs (aided by the fact that he is fast as lightning and Coloccini and Taylor are on the Mark Pembridge end of the pace scale) and even held the ball up reasonably well, which I was surprised by as I had always assumed he was tiny (apparently he's 5'11). He was good off the ball as well. He worked extremely hard (managing to occupy two players at once at times), had a huge amount of energy and seemed to have a good natural understanding of what his team-mates were doing, which is really encouraging to see in such a young player. He's clearly still somewhat unrefined - his first touch and his passing were a bit off - but that is to be expected from a 20-year-old who was brought through as a winger. Traoré is clearly very talented, works hard, and seems to have an excellent attitude. He seems to love playing football too; I know I've said this before, but he always plays with a smile on his face, which is really pleasant to see. When he scored he smiled more widely than anyone has in Stamford Bridge since Robbie D when we beat Napoli. I look forward to seeing him progress with the club - I have a very good feeling he will become one of my favourite players of the next Chelsea generation.
February 13, 201610 yr /\ It's hard to define Ploks, but for me it's similar to watching a musician and the instrument seems to be part of the player rather than an extension. Some players just have it and I sense Traore may be one of them.
February 13, 201610 yr i don't know how to properly put it, but remy for me is a goal poacher, exactly as traore was today (evident by the goal he took) and for this i think traore should be ahead. traore is our future and we should develop him as that which means more game time and chances. i think he's more capable that what he has shown in the few short appearances for us. i would even like to see him on the right wing if azpilicueta gets more game time on that side so he provides the crosses in/width and traore being a natural left footer can be the guy to cut in on to his danger foot and shoot, which he has shown he is more than capable of doing given half the chance because he isn't shy to take a shot outside the box - something we've cried out for many times. i am looking forward to see how his career progresses, but we need to keep him in the first team squad and nurture him otherwise another wasted talent will end up on the scrap heap. traore and musonda in our attacking line would be nice to see in another year or two especially if a couple of our big players do leave in the summer. Some players just have it and I sense Traore may be one of them. I get what you mean. A dancer told me that the very best dancers are both technical experts and intuitive artists. At the second level are two general groups; it's a continuum in reality so this is an oversimplification. There are technical dancers with perfect steps, perfect form, whose videos are ideal training material for developing dancers. Then there are intuitive dancers whose technique you can pick apart and who never seem to achieve the precision of their counterparts. They let the music lead them, and that artistic expression makes them stand out. I wonder if it extends to competitive team sports such as football. I can see an intuitive quality in Traore. Maybe it's related to the fact that he didn't train in a highly regimented academy from day one?
February 13, 201610 yr traore and musonda in our attacking line would be nice to see in another year or two especially if a couple of our big players do leave in the summer. On a side note: Musonda scored today for Betis.
February 14, 201610 yr Has he moved ahead of Remy in the pecking order? Well Remy could well be moving to China before their transfer deadline. Rumour has it we are delaying the deal so he is here for the next two games.
February 14, 201610 yr Well Remy could well be moving to China before their transfer deadline. Rumour has it we are delaying the deal so he is here for the next two games. I don't understand that logic myself. If we are happy for him to go, get it over with. Entrust Traore, Kenedy and Pato now because we'll be falling back on them anyway. What difference does two games make?
February 14, 201610 yr I don't understand that logic myself. If we are happy for him to go, get it over with. Entrust Traore, Kenedy and Pato now because we'll be falling back on them anyway. What difference does two games make? Bad result against psg bye bye cl. Bad result against city bye bye fa cup. I believe if we need to replace Diego or go for a goal, guus trusts Remy to be more likely to deliver. I do not agree with it, but why would we turn the China offer down or delay it rather otherwise? Get our money back for a regularly injured player, Remy doubles his income. It is a no brainer.
February 14, 201610 yr Would like to see Bertrand get some starts soon. I know psg and city are high risk to do so but surely the league is an option now we are pulling away from the drop zone. Try him up top with Diego, they both like drifting away from the box some most of the time we will still have our usual 3 man attacking midfield.
February 14, 201610 yr He looked ready, lots of energy, good movement, and doesn't look like the new kid to the team. I think he will make it to the team as a third choice striker for next season.
