Bertrand Traore

He and kenedy (possibly even RLC) if given chances, will offer that shot taking we so desperately desire. willian rarely take shots, and when he does he skies them! fabregas isn't shooting at all, matic will occasionally try a shot, hazard isn't offering anything in that department either, pedro is proably the only one who is willing to shoot - it's pathetic for the calibre of players we have in the team.

Will he ever get a chance to play for us this season? I don't understand why Jose doesn't rate him, he did in Vitesse exactly what we all been looking for. Costa is suspended, Remy is out of form and Falcao will never bring back his old form. I think it would be a good chance for him against Southampton, but probably I won't even see him on the bench.

Won't get a look in under Jose's watch ... even when we have nothing to lose ...

The club worked so hard to get him a work permit. He couldn't even start against walsall. Well a january loan beckons...

That's what gets me... Mourinho acts and talks like he cares, but never plays the youngsters. Right now even when he plays them it seems like he is being forced to do so... Lets have a look:

- Loftus Cheek has been great whenever on the field, but for some reason Mourinho always pulls him off early. He looked much better than any other midfielder against Aston Villa, but still gets pulled off at halftime, from all his brief stints it seems obvious he's our best man in the pivot;

- Bertrand Traore comes off of a prolific goalscoring season in the Netherlands with almost a goal per game in the second half of the season; Memphis Depay lands straight into the first team of Manchester United from that league, Traore 'isn't good enough' to start vs Walsall... and this is a player who Mourinho publically praised to the heavens;

Baba Rahman comes to us off of a great season and very good start to the Bundesliga being praised as one of the best in the league, but is unable to get games even though Ivanovic is on terrible form, and even when Ivanovic is injured a centreback with no positional sense or forward thrust gets chosen ahead of him. If his confidence wasn't shot before then it sure is now... This is a player who in May of this year masterfully coped with Thomas Muller or Robert Lewandowski at the Allianz Arena.

Kenedy - even though I think he's a mediocre player he has had a couple of great games for Chelsea (he was poor or even terrible in the other two), but just when you think Kenedy looks like he might actually be a decent squad player and seems to be getting into his groove... Mourinho doesn't play him since September;

Ola Aina - not yet sure the guy exists.

Kurt Zouma is the odd exception, but all the other talented young players are being given very negative treatment. Its not like they would be replacing players on form in the first team...

Honestly sometimes Mourinho has me totally dumbfounded...

Mate I think Jose being a serial winner is a curse and a blessing. He guarantees trophies but Jose isn't the type to say next 1-2 season we'll just go steady, integrate youth into the team, be patient and see how they turn out. He's very competitive, never one to see his rivals win and not want to do something about it. Good- we win trophies, Bad- don't put high hopes on youth

Jose is also risk averse so he depends on the proven star and never the developing player. It's costing us dearly this season and although I have been a great admirer of Mourinho I do think that if he wants to be a really great manager he has to work out how to develop a side over a long period of time - at the minute he's showing very poor strategic leadership

His risk aversion is flirting with self-destruction. At this moment its less of a risk to play the new guys than to keep playing the old guard.

Under Jose's watch we might as well shut down the youth academies ... a Fergie, Jose definitely ain't!

Emenalo and his scouting staff might as well go on vacation because Jose is stubbornly NOT interested in any other persons opinions or purchases.

Hence, Jose purposely dismantled all previous efforts by getting rid of an amazing array of talent acquired b4 his arrival just to prove a point that Jose knows best ...

This has hit the nail on the head. This is why mourinho has an expiry date, can develop a team for the now, not the future. My biggest problem is that he sold Mata, De Bruyne and Lukaku. Just because they "didn't fit his system". Which would be all very well if his system worked for longer than 1 year before he went into self destruct mode. Now we have to re-build and these 3 world class players are gone.

And yet we still get the 'jose knows' fanboys who cant bring themselves to ever criticize him.

Lukaku is better than Remy or Falcao by a long shot, but he's a far cry from world class. Mata had a couple of world class seasons, but he's not quite there now.

This lad is arguably the best finisher (if his finishing at vitesse is anything to go by) we have. Costa is shocking atm and i would try him up top.

We need to create chances before we think about finishing.

Beat dead horse some more. Lukaku is definately not world class, Mata not either despite how good he was for us. And KDB, well if 1 1/2 great seasons makes you world class then Florent Malouda should be very happy.

At this point the young players we have need to be playing as a matter of principle. There are no excuses, we're 15th and cant perform consistently

The guy got something like 20 goals and 30 assists playing behind Torres and without a proper defensive pivot behind him. Would take him back in a heartbeat and its staggering how he's now been at United longer than he was here.
