Snarf added some much needed emotional balance to the show.

Lion-O especially in the early seasons would have made a lot of ill judged decisions without the more cautious Snarf.

Which would have made for more exciting cartoons. Little miserable spoilsport ruined it.

is this another comedic signing like the lad from France?  then loaned straight back, perhaps the Board are going for the Guinness book of records for most loanees in global football

neither one of these CBs look like a Jose 'pick' and we all know what happens when TSO is left out of critical decisions,

he has a propensity to exit the proceedings

Can't do any worse than Ivan and Cahil based on this season's performances..Lol

Don't blame Cahill, he's had no support and has a broken face that he keeps making worse every single time he goes out there.

So am I. Can I play in midfield? I'll have the number 7 shirt if that's okay.

Only if you do a Soccer AM style skill school face of with Rami and Mikel. Winner stays, losers get sent to Liverpool.

I seriously doubt Chelsea have the first team in mind straight away. I also wouldn't pay too much attention to the fact he's 23, the rate he's come on in the last two years is pretty impressive, he's a late bloomer. I certainly think he has the attributes to be a top quality defender, but it's just Chelsea seems like the deep end and he's not ready for it.

He needs another season with us (looking like part of the deal) or a season with a bottom half Premier League side.

The only thing that makes sense here is if the board thinks in a few years he'll be worth more and be catching the eye of a Spurs or an Aston Villa or someone, and so they sign him now for £4m and loan him back to Reading to continue as he was for a few years, then when the Spurs comes along, it's us they need to pay £10m to instead of Reading.

Which, considering we already had 30 players out on loan for that purpose, and considering we're probably talking about at best an extra 5-6m above what we paid, seems like a ridiculous way to invest money. Surely we aren't that desperate?

Thanks for posting. Helpful insight.

How has he been this season?

Manager Steve Clarke dropped Hector from Reading’s starting XI after the opening day defeat at Birmingham. During that game he allowed Blues striker Clayton Donaldson to drag him out of position with relative ease and made a crucial mistake in the build-up to Birmingham’s second goal - trying to take the ball down on the touchline rather than kicking to touch, he trod on the ball and allowed Donaldson to cross for Jon Toral.

He would later be turned by Demarai Gray on the edge of the box when becoming disorientated as to whether he was supposed to be tracking another runner.

Paul McShane and Anton Ferdinand are now preferred, with Clarke using him as a late substitute since to shore games up.

At least we haven't bought him purely based on a strong start to the season.
