That jose interview singling out matic is bang out of order. Should never single out any player in public but especially a player who came on as a sub after being dropped. Not sure what to make of it but it certainly stinks of losing some of the dressing room when you start singling out players

3 players , we had luize and Louis and Mata and DeBruyne and Lukaku. Joses didnt like at least 4 of those !!

This is my biggest problem with jose, he sells good players because they dont fit his system or he doesnt like them. There are certainly a few of those we could use now. Teams of the likes of man u, man city and other top teams in europe have large squads with lots of talent, why can jose only keep a small squad happy, maybe its because he picks his 11 and barely rotates, this works as long as those 11 are on form. But when they are not we are up sh#t creek without a paddle, which we are now!!

I'll be honest, i backed him and thought he was brilliant last year, but now i'm beginning to see why he never lasts at whatever club he goes to. If this poor run continues i will expect to see the back of him and i will be glad

I'd just add that although we suffered to day and our nerves were jelly once they equalised I'd give a hats off to the Saints as I think they were bang on it.

 

They haven't had a good start after a being really good last season but it wouldn't surprise me if they put a few points on the table after todays performance. 

How shocking was Today not one player could control the ball with their first touch. dithering on the ball when options were available, passing even with time on their side piss poor (under hit over hit  so obvious a O.A.P. could intercept) until late on everything down the middle players at times so static it looked liked they could see who could stay still the longest and when some of them did make runs the ball seamed to be played away from the space to anyone with at least two opposition players next to them.

 

The kids in the penalty shoot out at half time had more co ordination then  our first team. Falcao not a great game but what service did he get I'm pretty sure he isn't familiar with the graham Taylor Watford long ball game . attacking and defending today it looked like all week we had been practicing who could kick it the highest.

 

Atmosphere today well I was at the back of the MHL and I am disappointed to hear there was not much that could be heard at the other end as although it wasn't the best atmosphere ever in there it did seem to be rocking at times although I know it can be deceptive when under a roof.

 A guy next to me said he sits mostly in the west lower  and said it is mostly tourist. why in the plan to the new stadium (apart from money ) more seats will be given to cooperate and hospitality when Mourinho wants more atmosphere is a mystery ,might as well incorporate Brompton  Crematory in to the new stand.

Again, why all the hate for Falcao? It's players like Brana, Cezc and Hazard that have been poor.

Even Diego isn't scoring much this season, so it's quite clear we are lacking in the creativity department, nothing Falcao can do about that.

out played in every postion bar 2 left back and goalie,their front three were fantastic mane better than hazard,pelle better than falcao,and tadic better than willian ,ward prowse whos 20ish embarrassed fabregas.

Our defensive frailties highlighted by Alan Shearer - they are shocking when you see them over again. Our midfield is giving the back 4 no cover at all. Bleak times. Wouldn't we love to know what Roman is thinking...

Jose is getting it all wrong at the moment. When you saw the team sheet, you knew we'd struggle. He shuffles players but doesn't change anything. Everyone can see it but Jose. We're still hamstrung with a right footed left back and Ivan offering very little on the right. Fabregas and Ramires aren't enough cover in midfield. I think the players see the problem and are frustrated. It's out of character for Jose to play so many attackers. We've got to focus on keeping some clean sheets first. That's how Chelsea and Jose win.

Swap Loftus-Cheek, Zouma, Matic or even Mikel in the midfield instead of Fabregas and we might have had a chance today. Changes are needed. We have to build from the back and stop leaking goals. Baba needs to play. Ivan has to be dropped. Beef up the midfield with a 4-3-3. I'd play:

It's frustrating we've had these same problems since last season but we're not correcting them. We've known about our fullback problems since last season and we never gave Luis a chance. I think Matic's decline is linked to his ridiculous suspension last season. I think Costa has struggled since his suspension last season. And I think these incidents and all the talk of a campaign last season continues to hurt our mentality. When the team don't get a call, their heads are dropping. They get frustrated if the game isn't going their way. Costa getting involved in flare ups isn't helping the team focus either. Quit moaning about the refs, Jose. Our tactics and our mentality are the problem. Sort it out.

Cant believe Im saying this but Jose needs to go. Heres my reasons. 16 training sessions pre season , poor choice of pre season friendlies. We look short of pace and unfit because of the above ! That clearly is jose's fault. We take on Falcao after he flopped at Manure and is no where near a decent understudy for Costa, there were other strikers available ( Austin etc )

Imho Jose;s body language has looked far too casual since the start of the season. For some reason he's dropped Courtois but sold Cech . surely with all our expected games there was a way to keep both. Now today he drops Matic then brings him on as sub then subs him ater 20mins play. This has the hallmark of someone who's losing the plot.

Lastly we struggle against Newcastle with their dog of a manager , City hammer them !!

I had todays match as a draw as soon as I saw Falcao was starting, I knew we'd struggle to score. How can he get a game before Remy ??? We did score but he was subbed !!

That display left me fuming. Too many players looked like the would rather be sitting at home watching it on tv.

Pathetic performances.

The whole team sucked big time. Can't pinpoint individual players. Too much lethargy and almost everyone looked like they were asleep.

 

It's hard to blame Mou, but whoever he lines up on the team sheet, just fails miserably. No matter the combination of players and even the ones recommended by this forum, has no effect whatsoever.

 

We are not ready for prime time despite being reigning champs.

 

Speaking of which it is sad to see being champs to now fighting for survival. I know it is early, but our standing on the top end of the league should now be out of our sights. Instead, it seems we are looking to rebuild during the January transfer window in hope we claw our way off the bottom!

Just finished watching a recording of the game. Was at work while it was live.

Brilliant free kick again from willian. Nice we have someone who can do that again.

Sadly that is where the good ends. Was damnimg that Southampton did not need to play that we'll to beat us. Falcao had no chances, nothing created at all. Defence awful again, torn apart by a different attack again. Midfield completely dominated and offered no creative spark.

We look every bit a side in a relegation fight. Table does not lie, we are that bad.

Jose got it wrong. Again. The subbing of Matic was so so wrong. I feel for him, he did not play well but to sub the sub.

Reminds me of swp and Joe Cole, off after 25 Min's at fulham.

I do wonder if jose has lost the dressing room. We are just not a team.
