Gently? Don't kid yourself.

Well, there has to be more important things than football to me, even if I can't think of any right now....so I'll reserve the word Brutally for a more serious scenario...

But I must stress, a gentle punch is no caress...it's still enough to take the wind out of the sails.

Who is making the buying decisions at CFC?

It's a salient point. José obviously wasn't at all happy with our dealings over the summer. Not that I want to derail the thread, but whilst we've done well in terms of maximising the fees received for Mata/De Bruyne/Luiz/Lukaku/Schurrle etc, it looks like it might be harming us in the long run in terms of squad depth.

We, ll beat stoke win the league cup, CL, FA cup anf get relegated.... ;)

If we don't get relegated and win both the FA Cup, Capital Cup, semi-final of CL and finish mid table.....will that be a successful season?  Or is simply finishing in the top 4 now being considered 'successful' in which case Arsenal must be one of the successful clubs in the last 10 years..

I dont see any creativity in your game. The only player who could provide something is Hazard. Clearly Hazard is not in good shape. That leaves you with nothing.

Thought he was red carded at half time, so sitting in the stands

Chris Kamara said he left the directors box in the stands

Could this season be akin to our CL-winning season?

To be continued....

This may sound harsh but i don't think this Chelsea team has the bottle to do what we did 3 years ago. We had real winners in that team. Mentally, you couldn't have asked for a better group of players. This Chelsea side is the most mentally weak side i have seen.

The worst is still to come, with November and December round the corner. I'm so sorry...

I just can't see where we can go from here. We look so bad in so many areas.  Would a creative midfielder and another striker fix things? I suspect a lot of problems are stemming from us being limp in the final third, letting teams pressure our midfield and defence more?

We go from one stupid drama from to another off and on the pitch which isn't helping.

I can see the end of the tunnel and it's nighttime. There's nothing positive I can see from our club at the moment.

It will be a minor miracle if Roman doesn't act soon

In a way now is the time to show true faith in the manager because LONG TERM sticking by him now may pay off later, But who knows, Nobody on earth thought we would be here after 10 pl games!!

Exactly. Sometimes I wonder if I'm watching the Arsenal of 07-12.

Watching the highlights, noticed how cresswell was a joy down the flanks like he didn't have willian to take care of. Maybe sometimes it shouldn't always be about the opposition...

Not losing to Liverpool is now a successful season for me.

Oh god, Yorkleyblue will make mincemeat out of me for being negative...

Jose's not doing the post-match interview/presser?

Probably should have done this instead just in case.

I really don't understand Mourinho
Why can't we have a RB as a RB and a LB as a LB?
Ivanovic was also a CB when you think about it
Zouma couldn't help Willian and all our attacks were at the left side, predictable and transparent
What was so wrong with the way we defended against Villa?? WHAT?

Mourinho isn't speaking to the media. Petty. But I'll still back him, he won us the league last year, not even Alex Ferguson's teams were consistently winning titles year after year, this sort of thing happens, we just need to have some mental fortitude and the players need to really put in passion. JT, Cahill, Willian and Dave were the only ones showing that they give a sh*t today

He should do what Tony Pulis did last season after we played them, say a rehearsed bunch of boring stuff then just leave

Bang on. We're packing our defence with giants, yet still have conceded the most headers in the league. Pick full backs who might attack and it might even give Hazard and Fabregas space to exploit- madness!

The game tonight was a margin of errors. We should have cleared the corner leading to the opener, Cesc imo was marginally onside and Matic made a stupid challenge for his second yellow. Things definitely need to change but I don't think giving Jose the boot is the answer. January is going to be extremely important and we need the board to back Jose and make some key signings.

Remind me again what Zouma is doing at RB?

Proving a Mourinho point that Rahman is not ready? Well... neither is Zouma (even more so).

Mourinho really needs to drop his entire regular guard.

West Ham is a strong team this season and basically the scoreline just exposed the truth.

Willian, Zouma (but not at RB), Azpi and Begovic are the only players that deserve to be on the squad. The rest need to be changed wholesale even if it means a few lost games due to adjustment.

West Ham could actually finish top 4 - look at the games they've won - us, City, Liverpool and Arsenal; even their win v Palace was decent given the way Palace have been going. This season is mad.

Started the second half really well... Mikel owned the midfield

Matic was a mug for not keeping his composure, not the first time his decisions leaves me questioning his game intelligence

Would have taken 1-1 but JT's 'scuffed' clearance f**ked us

Admittedly i'm looking forward to a 'different dynamic' without Mourinho on the bench in the coming weeks

Hazard improved second half but yet again lacks end product

Opposition have figured out our 4-2-3-1 and Jose doesn't appear to have answers
