This is basically what I expect to happen every season, so football at least makes some sort of sense to me now.

Yep, I rewatched the season recently, it wasn't looking good for some time, but we turned it around near the end, Stein is an unsung hero.

I thought it was pretty obvious DampSquib was taking the piss out of the TC.

 

If the worst does happen (not that I'm expecting it to), I think we'd be surprised at the level (and perhaps quantity) of the players who would stay behind. They are, after all, on amazing salaries and in all likelihood immediately return to the top flight. It would also allow some of our fringe players to stake a solid claim to the first team.

 

If you don't believe me just look at Juventus' squad after they were relegated in 2006 following Calciopoli. They of course made some losses (Zambrotta, Cannavaro, Ibrahimovic, Mutu, Thuram, as well as Capello, all left), but they still managed to retain Buffon, Nedved, Trezeguet, del Piero, Chiellini and Camoranesi, most of whom were world class or fairly close to it. While we would clearly lose a fair amount of talent, it wouldn't necessarily lead to the wholesale gutting of the club.

It won't happen.

Our first team will all go on loan to Vitesse for a season. Except for Costa because we need some hard men for the championship.

The likes of Brown, Loftus Cheek, Bamford, Kiwomya, Baker, Feruz, Kalas, Nathan, Kennedy, Piazon, Solanke, Swift, Ake, Chalobah, Wallace, Boga, Christensen. Will play. The Dutch team Vitesse won't get raided with loan players from Chelsea. But saying this it'll be annoying and sad because, Kalas, Bamford, Ake, Piazon are good enough to play in the premier league. And Wallace. But Chelsea has enough money to buy the league.

If somebody offered me the success we have experienced in the last decade in exchange for a season in the Championship I would have bit their hand off.

 

Sport is all about Ups & Downs and truth be told even in the championship we will have an equal chance of winning the Champions league as Arsenal. 

I have been a Chelsea fan since 1997 and I always seen Chelsea playing in the Premier League, so for me it would be devastating. I don't think with the players we have this should be an option, but anything can happen. I can't change teams so I will continue to support them if the worst case scenario did happen. I don't believe this will happen this season, but we really need to start getting results fast.
