Guus Hiddink - New (old) Chelsea-manager

Featured Replies

Nothing really changed since he came in.

But he's like a cuddly uncle, which is nice.

If you think nothing has changed then you never watched us under José when with every game we take a step closer to being relegated. Seems a lot of us have short memories. You guys need to wake up and realise if there were signs Jose will keep us up he won't have been f**king sacked!

So you really believe if Mourinho stayed as manager Chelsea would of got relegated. by the point Mourinho left he was still going for Europe. If everything stopped then and he was just looking to get Chelsea out of a relegation battle I bet Chelsea would of moved into mid table. Play for the draws like Guus.

I don't think things drastically changed no and I'm still of the opinion that it was wrong to sack Mourinho.

Especially when we replaced him with an interim coach whose best years are definitely well behind him.

Liverpool bought in their new coach immediately after sacking Rodgers and it means he can build and shape the club ready to go into a. New season.

We yet again appoint an interim which messes up future planning and we're set to appoint a coach who won't take over until August so who's planning pre-season? Who's dictating the all important summer recruitment drive?

We don't learn from our mistakes as a club and the six months with Guus in change were a complete write off and ill judged.

Well Guus hasn't really done anything to shout about this time.

His spell was/is as full of failures as the rest.

As FC said above its been a waste of a few months planning because we start from scratch again in August. Nothing is in place and everything is still up in smoke.

Horrible season from start to finish.

Not really because we still won the FA cup regardless

Damn forgot about that.

Like I forgot about the whole season after that, which was worse

There were rumours that he could stay on as an advisor or something, perhaps replacing Emenalo? Might not be a waste of time if that happens

What would he be advising?

If it's Conte then let it be him and the way he works. If he wants an adviser then bring in the people he wants.

The only thing I remember from that game is Cechs wonder save from point black range from Andy Carroll.

Still need to rub my eyes when re watching it over again

I'd like to think the guy in charge could approach the board without needing to go through third parties.

That's probably what's wrong with this club

There's all sorts of personnel running the club and he could be one of them. Guus must be more qualified than Emenalo and Avram Grant for the director job

Jose and relegation together? Are you serious?

Am not serious. I was probably dreaming when we were losing matches for fun and Bournemouth also came to the Bridge to beat us. Yea we were on top of the table then.

I will rather prefer us to start all over again with a new manager in the EPL next season than leave Jose all season and then we have to start all over again in the Championship with Jose himself or any other manager.

And it's that very same mindset that has stopped us evolving as a club.
