Give me one reason why Emenalo is the satan and the root to all evil at Chelsea! We have no idea how these people operate. f**king hate this mindless shouting to a person who you don't know at all.

Two reasons:  He supposedly oversees the Academy and this has been an unmitigated disaster. 20-30 players out on loan, virtually NONE with any chance of making the first team and apart from 3 FA Youth Cups what dow we have to show for it? Ruben Loftus Cheek

Secondly, He is head of player recruitment so therefore oversees the scouting system at Chelsea. Who exactly has that delivered at a decent price??

Tbh its got to the stage where iam really not that bothered who takes over...i just hope & pray that the new boss finds a place for JT on the coaching staff & appreciates just how he means to the fans & the club...

Azpilicueta, Hazard, Cahill, Zouma, Courtois, De Bruyne, Lukaku, Mata, Costa, Cesc... There's a long list of good value signings that have been made under his watch, but I think there's also a case that with our vast scouting network and resources that anyone could have made these signings.

I daresay apart from Azpilucueta, anyone who played Football Manager at that time would've heard of these players.

The issue is the young players and they're development which has been an unmitigated failure in his time here.

What about the midfield? He had Pogba and Vidal in there, two dynamic players and we have Matic, Mikel and Loftus-Cheek. In fact we just sold the closest player to those in Ramires.

This is the problem for me, that the style he's most closely associated with doesn't fit our club's style at all. So what do we do? Hire him, tear up the academy tactics book and change everything again for a guy who is more than likely going to be a stopgap? Maybe we'll hire him in the hopes it would help us sign Pogba, which is fairly short-sighted.....so will probably happen.

I considered this as well. Whoever we bring in is going to want to change some things. For one because we don't have a 'style' in the first place. Second I'm assuming whomever we hire is going to play the style the owner wants. Conte is known for his tactical sense and flexibility apparently, 4-3-3, 3-5-2, I even read he played 4-2-4 at Bari. There's nothing wrong with the football his teams play.

As far as players go, RLC can fit into his midfield. Just missing 1 then and he will surely be allowed to bring someone in. Maybe he signs Marchisio or someone completely different. The only real issue I see as far as players go would be what does he do with Hazard? No way he can play wing back or as a true striker. I'm pretty sure running box to box in midfield isn't going to suit him either. I would trust Conte to find a position for him, whoever we hire is going to have to either center the team around Hazard or sell him anyway.

For the record I'd like AVB or Pochettino ahead of Conte.

That screams a temporary appointment (18-24 months) who will be subservient to the direction of Roman/the board/Emenalo and maybe scrape Champions League football.

Hopefully I'm wrong, but I don't think this club has the ambition of being a title challenger for the next few seasons.

The is my concern too. It probably explains why Guardiola was not remotely tempted to come here. Can you imagine the humiliation of going from Barcelona and Bayern Munich to serving under those footballing geniuses Abramovich and Emenalo?

It likely explains why we won’t get Simeone either. Any one of credibility is not going to want to be subservient on transfer policy to the current Chelsea Board and its dodgy recruitment policy.

We can't compete on price for the best players so what's left is to compete on quality and potential. Unfortunately, we’re getting more wrong than right recently.

As long as Abramovich, Emenalo and the Board are taking the crucial decisions over the head of the manager we are likely only going to get short term managers who will be little more than figureheads. Maybe that's all the club wants deep down.

Did you really just throw a Tribe Called Quest into this?  If so, I applaud you, sir

I know I will hear it for this but I am not opposed to having AVB back. If the club is committed to the future and being financially responsible then he is a guy that can bring a brand of football that everybody will like. He was definitely not ready to manage chelsea when he was here. Not mature enough and could not gel with the senior players that were here. This is a different team now.

I'm glad we didn't sign Klopp. It seems this geek doesn't know what he's doing. PL is not Bundesleaga, certain approaches don't work in PL and also certain managers will

won't succeed here.

I love his post match interview today, what a geek!!!

Nah it would never happen. He's too arrogant and it would be PR disaster given his recent comments about Chelsea. He's obviously still bitter. I actually really liked him and was gutted when it fell apart.

But talking about him, he hasn't matched his achievements at Porto or kicked on from them. He's done ok but messed up badly at Chelsea and Spurs.

Highest point total Spurs have ever had in the PL. Russian League title and currently havent lost a game in Europe. Id say hes doing alright

Guus seems to be hinting that he might be convinced to stay another year. If he's available, I would keep in position and try to recruit Koeman next year. It would give us stability and both seem to operate in a similar calm approach.

I would have a really hard time seeing him come back here. He's spending is very questionable, he doesn't seem to have a plan B and with his Spurs side was unable to defend.

Why not let him carry on. How does that affect the clubs spending?

Jose didnt have a plan B either. I agree it would be hard for both parties but I feel AVBs best days are ahead of him, which is more than I can say about Pellegrino, or even Koeman who has found his level at Soton imo

I should have phrased my sentence better, I meant keep Guus for next season and try to recruit Koeman to take the reigns afterwards. As for the spending, I was making reference to AVB who had a pretty big budget with Spurs.

How to keep Guus for the next season when he clearly (for the 10x) said he won't be staying. He's leaving at the end of this season.

I don't know why people are still talking about that.

How many times Guus has to say he's leaving at the end of this season?

Not AVB for me. Clearly he is a good manager but I don't want to see any more one of those political-type answers that he dishes out. Plus he would make sure JT doesn't play another game as a Chelsea player.

Eddie Howe is one to keep an eye on, a young English manger who is displaying a real understanding of the modern game.

Abrmovich will likely go for Simeone, he's worked wonders at Atletico and deserves an opportunity to manage a super club, if his English is spot on then he could be a real success.

Be interesting to see if Pellegrini is linked or dare I say Ranieri after the season he's had.

This must surely be the most critical appointment of the Abramovic era and getting this one wrong could seriously risk leaving us on the outside looking in for a long time. Whoever they appoint this summer needs to have the gravitas to attract talented players despite not having European football and they must also have the vision and tactical intelligence to create a top four side whilst not having the budget of old. And that's the trick, who has what it takes to deal with the 'big' players we have whilst also having to get more than the sum of the parts out of a squad that is no longer on a par with the best?

Agreed. With the in flux of money, the league will be even tighter next year. Got to get it right. Unfortunately we don't have a lot of options.
