How calm and controlled is Mikel

Started a bit iffy with Fabregas giving the ball away too much and Oscar invisible but once Hazard went off we found our rhythm and have looked pretty good.

 

Costa has had a good half and defence has played okay - GREAT tackle by Zouma on Zaha. Hope we don't sit back but look to keep attacking and get the second and look to wrap the game up. Thought the ref has had a good game - could have easily produced a load of yellow cards but he has allowed for the conditions and all in all it has been enjoyable.

 

Will still be nervy but fingers crossed we start off 2016 well and put that poor run behind us.

Mikel is coolness personified

especially Matic lost all his confidence since Mourinho's jab at him "Matic is in trouble. Can't pass the ball, can't shoot. He is clumsy."   Not everyone can take criticism and get back on to confidence. it always need some help .

 

That said in the summer we all thought Matic would be able to do the job Mikel is doing, but for some reason this season he keeps getting rushes of blood to the head whether thats doing something stupid or just bursting forward leaving the defense exposed he just isn't doing the same job as last season.

I like Pedros directness. When both Hazard and Willian are on the pitch they slow us down tremendously. With Pedro at least we get a bit of tempo on the ball

FFS If Ivan gets beat one more time on the right, ha hasn't stopped one cross coming in and if it wasn't for Zouma....just as well shift Zouma to RB and throw Ivan in the Centre
