Alexandre Pato

Probably the best striker were gonna get. Seems like he messed up and now wants to prove he's sorted himself out. it could have been us at the top of the prem and Leicester in our position and he goes to them and everyone thinks it's a fairly decent deal but its us sitting in the lower half of the table so he comes here and it's a pretty decent transfer imo for a club sitting in our position with literally no hope of Europe next year.

He turned to dog sh*t in Italy though, he done well as a youngster but his form nosedived and he stated he hated living in Europe.

He was plagued with injuries in his last couple of years at Milan so he didn't necessarily "turn to dog sh*t"

He did when he played.

He's made of chocolate and has a terrible attitude by all accounts.

He might well fit in here after all....

I hope this deal happens.

He can't be any worse than Pedro and I think he'll mash up well with our Oscar, Hazard, and Willian.

Being Brazilian myself, I hope he succeeds in this opportunity and makes a comeback into Selecao.

Underwhelming to say the least. He's got a point to prove which I suppose works in our favour.

Can't be any more useless than Falcao. Surely?

If we went for someone like Ighalo we will probably be spending 20 million or so due to his form and what if he's a one season wonder?

Two season wonder if we count the Championship last season... scored a tonne there.

he has basically been written off before he has even played so what have we to lose. Its not going to be like the 50 million man torres, If he does not come up to scratch nobody is going to be to surprised so lets see how he goes. I think we are due up a good un.

he turned 26 in september if that means anything. still young so hopefully this means there's time left for him to do well yet. please god don't let this be another mistake. that lavezzi rumour has cropped up again; if we sign him our board really has lost the plot. at least we won't be breaking the bank pato does turn to sh*t, heard he's going to be on around 40k a week and will cost about £8 mil

He played very few games for them when his injury problems started in all fairness. I'm not expecting him to set the world alight but I think he's worth the gamble. People on here speak about him as if he's an old man!

It's not really his age, it's the baggage and injury history he comes with.

Hopefully I'm wrong and he makes me eat my words but to me this has disaster all over it. If he didn't take to life Milan I cant see London being any different.

I'd save us £10 million or whatever and at least try Bamford and Traore who have scored plenty of goals when playing first team football. That's less of a risk IMO

Seriously I can't see the point, why bring Pato in on the chance he finds form again, its not like its worked for Falcao.  I'm not one who keeps banging on about our youth players, but why don't we try out some of the youngsters you've got to admit it's the best time to throw them in as we're not getting a CL place.  If none impress we've not lost anything.

Why can't we keep the money and the squad space and use it in the summer when better players are available and when the new manager can decide?  The only thing that I can think of is that they believe it will help Hiddink win the FA Cup/Champions League?

hasn't played a competitive game since November

looks like ME & RA want to swap one turkey for another

typical of the clubs transfer policy, throwing more doo doo at the wall in the hope that it sticks, while we wait for the inevitable odor to follow that stinks
