January 27, 201610 yr Looks like he's come with a good mentality and seems very happy to be here, here's hoping.
January 27, 201610 yr In an ideal world the players who got us into this sh*t will be the one's who get us out of it, and it's staring to look like they will, so I can't see Pato getting too much game time if we stay injury free.
January 27, 201610 yr Look like he's keen, and to be honest I don't see he could do any worse than Remy/Falcao right now.
January 27, 201610 yr don't know how reputable the tweeter Jack Lang from the Mirror is in this piece of journalism or the 'rag' itself but doesn't sound promising http://sabotagetimes.com/football/brazil-expert-gives-verdict-as-pato-makes-move-to-chelsea

But if Costa gets injured, Pato's not going to do same job (
January 27, 201610 yr I remember him for milan and think he was involved with the wrong people was forced to get as far away as possible also got the chairmans daughter pregnant which didn't help
January 28, 201610 yr The thing about Pato leaving Europe in the first place is more than football. He hated Europe, t'es only reason that held him at Milan was because he was going out with AC Milan's chairman's daughter (Berlusconi). Once that love story ended he packed and moved to brazil. He has always had injuries and I think his ability to come back to form is good.

January 28, 201610 yr Quite happy about this! Smart business and got a feeling he'll add value to the squad! Remy is on his way out and we NEED support for Costa - Now all of you harping on about Bamford and giving him a shot (pun intended!) while i DO fully agree with you our young blue blooded boy deserve a shot, Bamford is simply Not built, physically for the way we play out football - We need strong, big presences up front and Bamford aint that! Pato certainly seems like a much more physical presence! We need that! Now if we shake things up and go towards a 442 - then absolutely, play Bamford as a second striker with Costa; but with 1 upfront we need a presence! Edited January 28, 201610 yr by ButchersHook
January 28, 201610 yr Author Pato will know this is a huge opportunity for him to get back to his best in a stellar league, with a strong team to support him. If he settles, works hard and has the right attitude he could be a useful goal scorer for us. Would be hilarious if he entered the premier league in a similar fashion Torres did at Liverpool.....wishful thinking
January 28, 201610 yr he looks technically better than costa and remy anyway. whether he can score the goals we will see.
January 28, 201610 yr Can't really judge that from youtube videos. Costa looked a technical genius with his Atleti compilation
January 28, 201610 yr Can't really judge that from youtube videos. Costa looked a technical genius with his Atleti compilation nah he looked poor with the ball at his feet even with atletico. good goalscorer, but poor technically. he can't dribble and his ball control is poor too.

Not in those videos he didn't. I cant post them at work but will later, his control and dribbling were a big part of many of his goals the season before he moved here.
January 28, 201610 yr Harry Redknapp putting his tuppence worth in...http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/harry-redknapp-claims-rejected-alexandre-7261217 I'm much more confident that this is a good signing after read that from the twitchy cretin

Hang on a minute, you can't blame supporters for being sceptical with any new players we bring in, considering the crap we have brought in over the last few years. We have untested players in the squad who will probably be leap frogged by another Latino desperate for a chance to make some bucks before they hang the boots up. Sure he will get the backing of all the supporters, we are the Chelsea. But you don't have to be an "expert" to be worried that this is another Cuadrado, Salah, Papa, and countless others........................................
January 28, 201610 yr We have untested players in the squad who will probably be leap frogged by another Latino desperate for a chance to make some bucks before they hang the boots up. This "another latino" has experience of playing for a top Serie A side and he's played more Champions League football and scored more goals in the competition than Falcao. I'm not saying this will guarantee us anything, but he's still quite young, so who knows... Edited January 28, 201610 yr by Maksimov
January 28, 201610 yr I go through a Journey, with players like Pato, the same journey I went through with Veron, and with Falcou, never with Torres mind. When the name first gets mentioned, I prey to g-d it’s a rumor. Hate the Idea that it could be true and we are so arrogant to believe we can fix a busted flush. Then as it becomes more realistic I start to create an undeniable argument in my head that convinces me they will be a success. I watch the you tube compilations of their glory days and I start to Imagine then doing it in a Chelsea shirt. Right now I’m starting to think that Pato can become our Aguero… But then they pull on the shirt and start to play, and then they play like turd, and then they get injured and we think they were never fully fit, but the truth is they were just a busted flush and we should have never been in the pot in the first place.
