No you didn't.

Not keen on this transfer, but we do need players. is he a wing back? im sure thought florenzi and di sciglio played wing back for conte in the euro's. Giaccerini also played alot for conte and he isn't a good player by any stretch. 

At 30 he still has some years left to contribute, although we already have Willian at 29 and pedro at 30, so you would think we would be looking at a player closer to his prime. 

On the plus side £22m isn't bad in today's market, Conte obvioulsly knows him well and trusts him, and hopefully he is coming in to supplement moses, as we need to give musonda a shot imo, as we are going to struggle with the homegrown quota in the coming years. 

We need speed on this wingbacks. And let`s stop converting every winger to a wing-back.

It`s not a certainty that it`s going to be succesful again.

It`s happen with Moses, but we tried with Pedro and didn`t work well. He didn`t cover his zone and it`s idiotic to buy 30year old guy for a winger or wing-back. Right there you need speed, and speed it`s first gone, when you start aging. And Candreva already is not a "speedster".

He would have been a good choice if hes price was arround 5-10m. Anything more is stupid.

Did i need to mention that obviously Sandro and Walker/Danilo was Conte first choces.

I don`t know why in Chelsea only the managers get sacked and they get all the blame.

Seems the swap deal is bullocks, and that the transfer will go through within the next couple of days for 22Mil.

Personally, I think this is a good signing, solid wing-back and I trust conte. Lets not forget our scepticism towards Alonso and moses, and look how that turned out.

What follows is pure speculation on my part. Not a scrap of real evidence of to support it but...

Based on his reactions at the 2nd leg of the FA Youth Cup Final, I think Antonio likes Dujon. Is a 2-3 year contract for Candreva just about the right length to allow the young man to grow into the job?

Way to go all apocalyptic. Mark my words, sounds like a threat from a dying man. We do this nearly every year, bitch about every signing made/not made.

Did you say Moses was a WB this time last year?

 

We have Hazard, Pedro, Willian and Musonda, and Morata can play on the wing. Trust me Candreva will be bought as a WB, if he's bought at all. How do I know this? Well it's because I have incredible powers of deduction. I am a genius. You see, Conte played Candreva as a WB at the Euros, not in friendly games but in tournament matches with everything riding on them. Also, we need a WB whereas we don't need a winger. He may be ageing but last time I looked everybody else in the world is ageing too, even you. He's 30, next season he'll be 31, the season after that he'll be 32, and in 10 years time he'll be 40. How do I know this? Because I've got my calculator out. 30 is not old. It's not young but it's not old. We can get 3 good years out of him, easily. He wasn't Conte's first choice, we know that, but now he has to make a pragmatic choice, and crucially, this will be his choice, not your choice or my choice but his choice, and if he chooses Candreva above all the other realistic options, I think we should hope he purchases him.

 

Edit: His choices haven't been bad so far have they?
