A month to the day until England's first game, it's probably about time for this thread.

Very much hoping for the reappearance of Pauly, as well as plenty of Home Nations banter.

The bizarre knock-out format can be found here if anyone wants to do a proper predictor.

France have an outstanding list of players who will be around for the best part of a decade. Some players almost at peak age too. Maybe a bit soon but I reckon they could do it too. Wish Zouma was fit and in contention too. Would be a great experience.

Not really sure how they play though.

---------------------- Lloris ----------------------

Jallet/Sagna -- Varane - Laporte - Tremoulinas

---------- Kante ---- Pogba ---- Matuidi ------------

Griezmann --------------------------------- Martial

----------------------- Benzema ------------------------

Something like that maybe?

Koscielny

Payet

Ben Arfa

Lacazette

Digne

Mathieu

Coman

Kondogbia

Ntep

That midfield is just so good, don't really rate that front 3 as much as a lot of others but that team is really strong and with home advantage they have got to be up there as favourites.

It's already in the bag for Wales. Player of the tournament: Chris Gunter, Golden Boot: Simon Church.

If Belgium don't go close then Wilmots has to get the boot.

Loris [France] has had a better season than Courtois [belgium]; I'd have question Frances back in a year or so ago - but they seem ready to go, and healthy.  If they can keep their heads together, they should get to the final.

Benzema isn't going, he's tweeted already that he won't be playing in the Euros.

A good GK is going to be key in this.

drjonesy: They ain't in Europe mate...

Surprised Uruguay haven't been mentioned too. That Suarez they've got could cause us some problems!

In all seriousness I think Germany or France.

I've voted for Germany

However I'd love for Northern Ireland to win it.

The lost Gundogan, Schweinsteiger is brittle, and Khedira is an egg shell.  with Lahm retired they are going to have to have some kids really stip up.   Emre Can will be a good fit, and that Kramer kid that started the WC final and got his bell rung...

Here's a nice predictor set up for Excel

France  7
Switzerland  5
Romania 4
Albania  0

England  5
Wales 5
Russia  4
Slovakia 1

Germany 7
Poland 6
Ukraine 3
Northern Ireland  1

Spain 7
Croatia  7
Turkey  3
Czech Republic  0

Belgium 7
Italy 4
Sweden  3
Republic of Ireland 1

Portugal 7
Iceland 6
Austria  4
Hungary  0

3rd place-

Iceland  4
Russia  4
Czech  4
Sweden  3
Romania  3
N. Ireland 2

Swiss v Poland

Spain v Iceland-----------Spain v Poland
England v Romania
Italy v Portugal----------England v Portugal----------- Spain v Portugal
Germany v Russia
Belgium v Croatia-------Belgium v Germany
France v Czech
Wales v Austria----------France v Austria---------------- France v Belgium-------France v Spain

I really like Poland and Austria to make noise but it's hard to pick them when they run up against the hosts and Spain.

Ireland obviously. Walters golden boot and John O Shea player of the tournament.

As Fox Mulder would say, I want to believe. COYBIG!

italy won't be doing anything.

it isn't a team filled with great players so to miss marchisio and verratti amongst others will hurt them.

once they are mathematically eliminated we can send word for pauly.
