what is the deal with that pic?  I dont see the reference, and as to whybits making Everton fans mad???

It's not a picture. It's a video. And he says no more BS with Chelsea banners. Maybe he's not coming after all.

Is it a coincidence that he's wearing a Nike tshirt? His last video gave Adidas publicity, could just be a 'brand awareness' exercise? (and he may also still be technically under contract with Everton??).

Fwiw I still think Lukaku is a done deal.

He is a slag who likes attention, he said he is leaving everyone knows it's to us then he acts offended when people comment on the chelsea banners, that only makes sense if he isn't coming, if he is again slag who likes attention.

FWIW, I think a deal is done for Lukaku. Everton have new owners and theyre splashing big money on players but I've a feeling theyre only doing that too on the back of a big enough sale, or two, if you include Barkley. If Everton have signed half a dozen players before they sell Lukaku, to their fans, all they see is 70-80m for Lukaku and forget about spending nearly half of that on a secind rate GK, in Pickford and a few half decent Belgian and Dutch league players.

To me, its just Everton saving face and we'll have Lukaku, sooner, rather than later. Which leaves us with an angry, 6 foot Brazilian/Spanish problem called Diego and where he might go.

Everton have already spent 50 million on two players and look like they'll spend another 25 million on Keane

With the money their spending I think it shows that Lukaku will be leaving

And the fact that Koemann has basically said that any player who doesnt want to sign a new contract can f**k off. Cant see a scenario were Barkley and Lukaku are Everton players NeXT year. Which is quite odd ofr Barkley, cause were will he og? Notgood eough for any of the top six, so he will either be a rotational squad player or take a step Down and sign for someone like Southampton, Stoke or West Ham. Quite odd really

I find myself having some respect for Koeman as the manager (not quite the player, just one too many fouls without bookings for me) laying down the law.

As you say above just what will happen with Barkley, as I've also heard nothing on the grapevine

Barkley is a strange one. He has bags of potential but he never seemed to quite reach it. I think he's going to need a step down to shine, like a big fish in a small pond.

Ultimately I think he won't ever reach his potential. Sad really as he has the ability to become a monster.

Too many people telling him he's the next Gazza.

I'm thinking he'll find his level at somewhere like West Ham or Stoke. Strange as I would have snapped him up for us a few years back.

Cascarino: "To replace someone of Diego Costa’s quality, you’re looking beyond Romelu Lukaku. He’s not the finished article.“ [FFT] Agree with this ex-chelsea man? Who incidentally also played for gillingham and millwall, all sorts of history going on with this man.

I think it's fair to say that most people rate Costa at a much higher level than Lukaku. Personally, I agree to a point but it depends who Chelsea buy really, Lukaku's drama blows hot and cold so much that I'm not putting any hope in it

I happen to agree with him. If Conte believes he can take Luk to next level I have no problem with this switch. However I'd trust Costa in the CL much more. He can make something out of nothing.

Agree with those comments.

Lukaku isn't a smart or good enough footballer with his back to goal to play the way we do. Everton are a perfect fit for him because teams they play against leave spaces for him to work in because they don't sit back and counter which 9 out of 10 teams we play do.

Costa when his heads in the game is ideal but we all know he's not interested in being here and went long periods the past 2 seasons not focussed so we need a replacement, Lukaku is to me is what an out of form Costa is so for me its pointless.

For 100m if we need a big bruiser might as well make a cheeky bid on Cavani.

Since we're bringing in big bruisers I hear Peter Crouch is available.

We missed out on Defoe, he's a beast.

Tongue in cheek comment really. Not being serious

Glad about that

My preferred target Lacazette on the verge of going to Arsenal. We're f**king this summer up if we're waiting around for Lukaku. First because he'll cost two arms and legs. Second because he doesn't suit our play at all.

We really need to have a striker who can play back to goal, link the play and create for themself and others. Lukaku is very much reliant on service.

In my mind Icardi, Lacazette and Morata are the three on the market who can do that. The cheapest of those is about to head off to a rival.

It`s a fun to see someone saying Lukaku not fit our style, but Icardi or Lacazette did.

Lacazette will be another Falcao in England.
The best we play, was with strong physical striker, who is there to score goals, not 1.75 guy .....

Lacazette may work for Arsenal, but never would be a good signing for us.

Costa is also far away from perfect Striker.

Cavanni to me is so bad. He miss and miss, and still miss. He sucks in big games. He score goals, cause his team create a thousand of opportunities.  Whatever i watch him, he have 5 or 6 clear chances and missed most of them.

Lukaku is cold-blooded infront of goals. He is top striker and will do great for us.
The only thing is his workrate. But he is young and when come to top club like us, he will improve a lot. Im sure in that.

Lukaku is on another level compared to Cavani, Lacazette or even Morata.  He's worth the money - in fact, reminds me of another striker we used to have around here.  I believe his initials were DD.  That worked out well for us, didn't it?

The only similarity I can see between Lukaku and Drogba is that he's big. Drogba has much more in common with Morata than most top strikers right now.

Lukaku has 26 in 39 games in all competitions and Cavani has 49 in 50. So if we're measuring goals then no Lukaku is not better than Cavani, yet.

The way you describe Cavani can be word for word describe Lukaku. Cavani's tally this season is 49 goals in 50 games, 8 in 8 in Europe. If any of our strikers misses 5 but scores 1 goal a game then I'd be fine with that, not everyone can be a Lewandowski on top form.

It's fine and all to have preferences but lets not build up someone too much. Lukaku has proved that he can hack it in the Prem and that's about it. He hasn't even signed for us to hold any expectation on him just yet.
