Good opening game i thought. France look very beatable though, their defence could be what holds them back.

I really wanted Payet at Chelsea. Was gutted when he went to West Ham. Wish I remembered the name of the poster that said signing someone at Payet's age would hamper the progress of Oscar. Jesus wept.

Tremoulinas is a far better player than Evra at the moment. Laporte is miles ahead of Koscielny or Rami. Martial is clearly better than Giroud albeit different strikers. If France struggle, it's clearly the ineptness of Deschanps.

I still can't understand why Lacazette is not in the squad.

Good first game of the tournament. France have some match winners,which will take them far. Question is, defensively are they good enough to win it outright? For me, probably not.

France won't go beyond the quarters IMO. Defence is pretty poor

Hodgson's dumb. The reason why England's formation didn't work against Portugal is because we played the slow Rooney and awful Milner. As soon as we bought players with pace on, we got the goal and looked better. If we play 4-3-3, where does Rooney fit in to that ? Instead of trying to shoehorn Rooney in, why don't we just play the team for the future, a team that is good to watch and can attack well ? Rooney's legs have gone, he's just going to hold England back.

I'm watching the highlights of France v Romania on BBC1 and the commentators said the Romania player went down easily for the penalty and they were lucky to get it. That must be bias talk because how can they say that that wasn't a penalty ?
