Jose Mourinho thread

Featured Replies

I also like the three Justin Bieber songs in the charts, what is happening to the world?

There's a disco chap on Facebook doing a parody of I'm Sorry, better than Bieber - take a look. Rich, Canterbury!

the players are in a bit of a no win situation right now. play well and get criticised by the supporters for just not playing for Jose. play badly and prove Jose was right all along.

i still think they will struggle on Saturday and if they do discontent around the Bridge might, probably for the first time ever, start to be channeled towards Abramovich and the Board. I wonder how Roman would cope with that?

Are they that fickle? Half the people in this thread would sacrifice their newborn to have a passionate night with Jose. He could slap their mothers around and they'd be like "take it mum, it's Jose".

Chelsea > Jose.

Some when they see great people like Mourinho fill with envy and hatred, wishing for nothing but their downfall.  I think Jose being a self made man winds them up even further.

Others decide instead to simply appreciate the greats and support them.  The former of course respond to the latter by deriding them as fanboys or saying they're in romantic love with him :indifferent0018:  :face_palm:

Sad sad day .... But unsurprising bearing in mind the balance sheet rules.

Now looking for that bunch of overpriced assets to turn in some decent performances so that we can get a good price for them in the summer.

This is a fantastic article.

"The sacking of Jose Mourinho is the worst decision in football history - shameful Chelsea should have let HIM sack his treacherous prima donna stars for playing like Christmas turkeys and conspiring to bring him down

Football is a mad game played by mad people and followed by mad fans. We’ve seen footballers karate kick spectators, bite opponents and even get shot dead for failing to save a penalty. Managers have punched each other, taken bungs, and made post-match speeches so unhinged that there were genuine fears for their sanity (yes, Kevin Keegan, I’m looking at you..)

More recently, almost every senior official at FIFA was busted for alleged corruption on a gigantic scale, which is not just mad but very, very bad. But few things have ever been madder than Chelsea’s decision to sack Jose Mourinho – the single greatest football manager on Planet Earth, and arguably the greatest ever."

Sad thing about this, it's true.

Chelsea FC just ripped apart its soul, the sheer stupidity, the pure insanity of this decision is unforgivable. Roman and his board deflated its entire fanbase. I will never support any decision they make again knowing that they're capable of such a disastrous scenario. Remember this day because we will talk about it for many years, they just ruined everything with no way back.

I know he's a prick but so is Chris Brown yet I like his music too ha ha

And we used to get on so well....

Ha ha.

Out of interest, does anyone know whether Holland, Faria and Louro are staying on?

they've gone with jose, but holland is still at chelsea apparently. so his old team have gone with him, which was inevitable.

Holland, Chris Jones and Louil- goal keeping coach stays. Faria and Louro going/gone.

Disappointing news, but I can't really say that I'm surprised. I'm actually more surprised that the board did not pull the trigger a few weeks ago. As much as I appreciate Jose and the works he's done for the club, I don't think things were going well since the last third of last season.

Jose is a great manager, but at the same time I still don't understand why he did not bring changes to the squad and formation when necessary. At the end of last season, lower end teams learned how to play against us and everyone seems to have adapted, yet we see little changes to the rotation or our approach. I put some blame on the board for not bringing new players this summer, but at the same time some blame has to be put on Jose with his squad selections and lack of rotation. The best example is probably our RB and LB issues. Ivanovic had been found wanting for quite some time now and yet Luis could not get a sniff at a starting role without either Ivanovic or Azpi being injured (even that would sometime lead to Zouma covering in that role).

i think jose just had to much crap to put up with a like us all it got to much

a very ill father

bad referee calls

fines from the FA

 board that wont sign players

Emenalo interview discussing the sacking:

http://www.chelseafc.com/news/latest-news/2015/12/chelsea-tv-exclusive--emenalo-discusses-departure-.html

Emenalo said that the decision was "taken to protect the interests of the club." He added "Whilst there is huge sentiment for the individual who has done so much for the club, the fact of the matter is that Chelsea Football Club is in trouble."

Interestingly he claimed that there was a "palpable discord between manager and players" and "the owner was forced to make what was a very tough decision for the good of the club."

In response to a question about people who think the blame should lie at the feet of the players, he argued that "it is very easy to make that kind of inference but it is not one that the club accepts," and that "this is essentially the same group of players who won the league and the League Cup last season," that "they did it in style and by showing commitment, by shedding blood, sweat, and tears" for the club. He added that "the players have a responsibility to go out and prove everybody wrong and show a certain level of commitment."

In terms of appointing a successor, Emenalo said "you're not a big club if you don't have contingency plans for situations like this," and that a managerial appointment would be "taken as soon as possible."

Not surprised by this decision but everyone has a share of the blame for this situation. JM for his conduct and his lack of tactical ability in changing things when they needed too.  The players for been spineless when required to man up to do their job, earn their wages and show some pride in wearing the coveted blue shirt. Not forgetting the board for not supporting the manager with new players when it clearly showed we need to strengthen the squad.

We lacked creativity but sold players who had it but why was that? Who sold the likes of Mata, Schurrle, Lukaku and De Bruyne?  Did JM sell them or was he forced too by the board?

What about JT? Did the relationship with JM come apart? Any thoughts on this..

Disappointed and not looking forward to the rest of the season..
