KDB says he spoke to Jose twice when he was at Chelsea and one of them is when he asked to leave.

How not to deal with players

Was a click bait interview from the BBC that, he said he is pretty distant with all his managers and only talks to them out of nessesity.

Curious thing that. He had the power to pick who to buy but selling them was out of his hands

Meh. Not really curious. Managers like Jose/conte would do anything to blame things on others and keep their hands and heads clean.

Hadn’t Mourinho been sacked by the time we actually sold (not loaned) Salah?

Yep. Chels sold him to Roma on 3 August 2016 being more than 7 months after Jose was fired. But, apparently*, Mourinho was telepathically responsible for the Board committing to sell Salah - such is the power of Jose.

There was an option to buy in the loan deal from 06/08/2015. Mourinho was sacked on 17/12/2015. So no, he hadn't been sacked by the time the agreement was there. Roma obviously decided to take up this option.

Hi Youlots. Nice to hear from you on a thread other than just politics. Turns out you might be a Chelsea fan after all! Please see response above to Munkworth. Mourinho certainly was still here when we gave Roma an option to buy. I suppose you'll come out with some bullsh*t about how we should have broken our contract and refused to sell, won't you? If not would you mind withdrawing your incorrect post. I believe the term dipsh*t applies to you in this case btw.

hehe...heya dipsh*t. Gee...most if not all loans carry an option to buy (as did his loan contract with Gigliati)....so no news from you with that statement and, so it follows, your assertion that I am incorrect is baseless. And you think that Mourinho would've had a say in respect to standard loan contract terms as between Roma & Chels or even Chels & Fiorentina?? Of course not. Once the decision is taken to loan a player then the details are left to others - or didn't you get that far in school?

Separately, I'm more chels than you'll ever be you reactionary, recidivist tosser.

All loans carry an option to buy? Zouma's doesn't, MvG's doesn't, Mudonda's doesn't. Infact, i'd be quite confident in stating quite the opposite since the reason for a loan is usually to develop and then return to their parent club.

Not sure what school you went to but most don't teach you about football loans. Just another pathetic attempt at a dig, really shows what a weak individual you are. Look at what Mourinho had to say in 2015:

"I see his future elsewhere. Either on loan or sold with an offer we are happy to accept. We have five wingers and it is better not to have Salah back."

Although i doubt he wrote the contract out himself, he certainly would have given his blessing to selling him. If Mourinho had said the loan was purely for development and he had every intention of playing him that clause would never have been inserted by Chelsea.

You're about as Chels as Mourinho. Aren't you from Oz? Must be difficult being the biggest fan of a team you never visit or watch live.

Man... you dont need to burn people to make your point. :laugh2:

But this was an actual first: most if not ALL loans have a buy option.

That is seriously some moronic thinking from a person who claims to be a chelsea fan, considering the fact that our modus operandi for youth development is loan. I mean seriously "dip sh*t" indeed.

I forgot about the option to buy but just because the buying club makes the offer it doesn’t mean the player himself has to agree. By this point Mourinho was gone and I’m sure if Conte has told him he was wanted and part of his plans he potentially would have rejected Roma and come back to Chelsea.

There are only a few people who know the truth behind it anyway, it’s all speculation from anyone else. I hate all this Salah/KDB Captain hindsight bollocks so I’m bowing out now!

What a bitter ungracious twat he was yesterday:

- United controlled the game from the first half: no they didn’t they were useless first half

- Chelsea has zero shots on goal: obviously missed the few from Hazard and the shot from Alonso then.

...and more bollocks.

Honestly he used to be a great character in the game but now he’s just an annoying git who scowls, moans and makes excuses.

I'll forgive him yesterday, after all he won no silverware this season and he was trying to placate the hordes of Utd fans who are not impressed with just 2nd when City have done the double and Utd are not playing enjoyable nice to watch football.

He also had no battering rams of Fellaini or a fit Lukaku to rescue him yesterday.

They had chances they just fell to wrong men like Pogba, who at times looks ordinary or an out of form Rashford
