Bayarn don't even look like they are out of second gear, bit worrying how easy they have made it look, as good as we have been this year we need to strengthen if we are going to compete in the CL

I agree. Real Madrid, Bayern, Barcelona ( possibly ) and PSG look on another level at the moment.

Keown keeps going on about the official looking stupid changing his decision based on the input from one of the others?

Surely the important thing is that they get the decisions right, I'd rather they changed the decision admitting they got it wrong than blindly sticking with an incorrect decision.

Also, as far as I'm aware, I believe the rule change was that if it was a penalty it wasn't a red as long as it was a genuine attempt to play the ball, which in this case it wasn't.

Its 10-2..

No way Sanchez stays in this shambles.

I'm not sure who the other commentator is but the whole 'this game too big for a referee's first knockout match' is bollocks. They have to start somewhere and a last 16 game that's 5-1 on aggregate seems perfect to me.

Besides, it's pretty disrespectful to other teams. Is there an easy knockout match in the Champions League? I don't think so.

What is it with Arsenal? Spineless cowards the lot of them on the pitch.

And the ref is no excuse for them either. None of the other English clubs in Europe would lose this heavily, much less twice in the space of a few weeks.

They're lucky bar stewards, and indeed English football in general, that our performances in Europe have kept England ahead of Italy in the coefficients standings so we can keep the 4 CL spaces.

Obviously it's hilarious seeing Arsenal get smashed and I'm quite certain that Bayern wouldn't inflict this thrashing on us, but there's no doubt in my mind that we'd have a hell of a task beating Bayern over two legs right now. I feel we need two or three key signings in the summer if we're going to be contenders in this tournament. And I'd add that the same will possibly apply domestically next season. Sure, we'll be competitive but I think City at least will raise the bar next season. I hope we don't rest on our laurels as we did after the last title win.

Agreed, Keown pratteling on about the officials is starting to do my tits in now.

Loved the point that Bellerin has been brilliant tonight, yet he's part of a back 4 who have conceded 5 goals, ooookkkk then:Troll_Face:

He hasn't exactly turned up himself has he? He's just as culpable, Where was he against Chelsea away? City away? United away? He's just as big of a bottler as Ozil, Only difference is he is South American and gets a pass.

Keown on the performance from Arsenal tonight "They have given their all but have been let down by the officials"...........No, the officials got EVERYTHING right, and the performance has been poor. I know they are down to 10 men, but they have got another spanking. At least go defensive and try and avoid embarrassment.

Thank god ourselves and City have put up a fight in the CL in recent years.

I think Leicester will do well in the 2nd leg also, It's just the North London branch who continue to shame us.
