I tend to judge Arsenal on the question of how many PL teams would be nervous at the prospect of playing Arsenal? You can argue they've ceased to cause much fear among other top teams. Outside of the top six, many middling teams must fancy their chances, given some luck.

Whereas, being honest, if CFC turn up you worry about the outcome for your team.

Arsenal have a much reduced fear factor, which says something about how far they have fallen off the pace.

I think the Spurs of today inspire a lot more fear in opponents than Arsenal do as well. When Arsenal are in tune, they can make a mockery of almost any team outside the top 6. But all you have to do as an opponent in that bracket is wait for their December to February/March collapse and pick them off.

They deserve to win something...

erm no they don't because you know other teams knocked them out both in cups and Europe while we won the title.

honestly you hear some utter garbage from deluded media folk

Have you not heard? We only beat them at Wembley because we could bring £30m players off the bench, they didn't have £30m Sissoko on the bench atall.

....and the grass at Wembley is a bit different to what they are used to at White Hart Lane!!

Kane and Son put Spurs two up vs last season's champions, an English defender pulls one back early in the second half.

Think we have been here before.

I can't disagree with that*. That's the unanswered question for next season too.

*I'd like to have the evidence to disagree.

Only time will tell if they can hang onto their best players, or replace them with enough quality. If they can, they will be up there again next year fighting for the title.

Blimey. A better end to the season than last year.

Still, close but no cigar...

Where do you see you guys improving this summer ? New wingers ? 2nd Striker ? do you want someone in the starting 11 or just depth ?

Depth to help sustain campaigns in Europe and the PL. I don't see any specific weaknesses except, as @charierrementioned, in mental strength which will hopefully come with experience.

I take at face value Poch's comments about our transfer budget for the Summer. I've seen Barkley and Alves mentioned as targets but I'm not convinced that's more than rumours (and Barkley isn't worth £50M). The rumours about who might leave - Dier to Utd for example - are that until we get facts.

I'd like to think that we might keep the squad intact but, being realistic, heads will be turned. I love Kane but what's he worth and can we say no to a serious offer? Speculation :-)

Their manager said it themselves they simply can't offer what the bigger clubs in England can.

The young players will want away soon enough just like Sterling when the Millions are dangled in their faces.

Spuds are not a winning club their best seasons and they win sod all.

Spurs have also yet to face the test of leading a title race and until they do, that has to be a serious question mark against the current squad and manager...while they have gone on a great run and top four finish had to be secured, it has been under little pressure...they had everything to gain, little to lose...when push came to shove, when they were really tested, they lost to us in a Cup semi final and at West Ham in the League.

Spurs biggest problem is gonna be keeping the team together, it looks like Walker is off. There's rumours that Dier wants to go somewhere for a bigger contract, heck even Alli in his comments isn't committing himself. If Spurs can match the wages of the big boys then they'll find themselves slipping behind, selling there best player just like Arsenal have done over the years. This transfer window is gonna make or break them.

They can, they just don't want to.

They really can't.

They don't have the revenue or funds United or City do..not even close.

Heck a bang average United squad player is on more than any of there stars.
