Following Our Nearest & Dearest Rivals, 2016/2017

Could sky sports show any more bias for who they want to win the title. Past few days we have an article of "why the cracks can appear"  at Chelsea and now we have one for Liverpool and "why they can do it".  Flippin city, you could not have shut them up yesterday?

Far as Spurs go impressive scoreline today, hard game for us since the league have sent Martin Atkinson to ensure our regular red card at the lane, probably has half an eye in to provoking our players to break the "failure to control our players" law again too.

It would be nice to think this run of form would continue until the end of the season but we all know that is not possible, given the quality of the top teams in the league.  All I am hoping for is that it is not Spurs or Liverpool because they would be the greatest team everrrrrrrrrrrrrr in the history of the EPL and the w**kfest would begin beyond our imagination.  If Liverpool do it, it will no doubt be dedicated to Hillsborough...again.   Sickening that the pundits do not give credit where credit is due.  This is an amazing run we have been on and yet not one TV pundit wants to see us win the league.

To be fair to the media ( and i say this through gritted teeth ) we have had a fair amount of praise with this run we have been on. There hasn't been much of the usual bias against us that you would usually get when we are on top.

The air time and praise that we get is next to nothing in comparison to Loverpool, Spurs and even Utd.  Even City have fallen out of favour lately also......these pundits just hate success

if arse beat palace both manchester teams will be out of the top 4 in the current standings

remember when we all thought it will just be between those two for the league title? good times

Sky today re Spurs...they were 'fantastic' 'great result' 'impressive' 'quality'..............the fact is Watford were abysmal ..if this was Chelsea..it would be ' expected' 'good' 'poor performance from Watford'

Spurs fans just sang a song about 'Chelsea rent boys, we're coming for you'...funny how 'rent boys' never gets the same level of outrage as when a certain anti-Semitic term is sung about them

f**k that club! I hope we tear them apart!

Looks like even our dear old butch has told sky sports Spurs must beat us to maintain interest in the pl title race. We are only 6 points ahead, that could be gone this week if he gets his wish and the fa charge us for failure to control our players on Wednesday.

We all know the media is full of Liverpool supporters. Hasn't stopped us winning 4 pl titles and Liverpool 0. Don't give a sh*t what they think and don't even get me started on average sh*t players like carragher and failed managers like Neville giving their opinion on everything. Oh and there's also Jamie redknapp :face_palm:

honesty does anyone even listen to pundits during half time? I always tune in to watch at kickoff and halftime discuss the game on forums or do something else and then come back just in time for the 2nd half and after that it's over. They don't say anything insightful or new that you wouldn't get on football forums anyway.

They were also the ones leading the headlines of will we be deducted points for failing to control our players,

Nor is football their game (spreading gossip and rumours appears to be) but they are all together, and cheering Liverpool on is there aim... Lol

So just turned on Sky Sports watch the build up to the game and Carraghers again banging the drum about Liverpool catching us. God I hope they lose their next game.

Sunderland? Not a chance in hell

Why can't our rivals just lose?

Can't see any of the top six dropping points against opposition in the lower half of the table.   This is going to be a season of 'who blinks first'.   6 points is not a healthy gap this season and can easily be wiped out in a couple of games.  Still a long way to go and but we need to winning all our games at home and even drawing a couple against the Spuds, Utd and Liverpool away will leave us in good stead.  Just can't afford to drop 3 points on Wed...January  and early Feb was always going to be a tough run of games.  I believe we can do it, but the top four was always the goal this year; I will only be disappointed if Arsenal, Spurs and worst of all Loverpool win it.

I don't think Spurs have enough to win it. City won't, pep is sh*t. Arsenal will fold. It will be either us, Liverpool or Man utd I feel can come from nowhere and surprise everyone this season.

IMO Liverpool have the best chance of our rivals, but defensively they can be suspect and it would not surprise me if Klopp's hyperactive brand of pressing eventually burnt them out. Losing Mane in January will also hurt.

Man U have simply dropped too many points and while they have been on a good run, they have not entirely convinced. I expect that next season is much more likely to be their year, as is always the case with Mourinho.

Arsenal are Arsenal and Tottenham are Tottenham, whereas Guardiola comes off as too inflexible to win the title with a Man City side which simply isn't accustomed to his way of playing.
