Inspired by a poll which claims that we are now the most hated club in the league, I am interested to hear which team we as a forum/fanbase hate the most.

 

I do wonder whether, with the emergence of a younger and more international fanbase, some of the old 'traditional' rivalries (e.g. Leeds) might have been watered down somewhat. I do think that not having face-to-face experience with certain groups of opposition fans might lead people to discount some of the more local rivalries.

 

I know that quite a few people have developed a strong dislike for some European clubs (mainly Barca), but I've kept the poll to British clubs only.

 

What do you think?

Anyway, my answer is Tottenham. I consider this hatred to be a key part of my psyche.

I hate Liverpool the most. But i enjoy beating Arsenal the most, if that isn't paradoxical.

I mean, it's so hard to pick and choose which club to hate the most....it's like the greedy chubby child in the candy store except that eventually even their hunger for candy will eventually be sated.

 

But good lad for having QPR on there.  I was going to pick Liverpool but only because QPR are so insignificant now that I almost forgot them.....didn't take much reminding to stoke up that loathing for them.

Difficult to pick one out. In alphabetical order-

arsenal- deluded, bitter, so called fans who you just can't have a decent argument with.

liverpool- as above with the most whining God awefull accent, full of self pity and just scum.

man u- same as arsenal plus their sheer arrogance.

spurs- our off pitch history.

Just shaving it for me would be arsenal.

Manchester United then after that Manchester City.

It would have been Leeds, but their insignificant now, so Tottenham, I can't stand Arsenal or Liverpool either, but the Tottenham match last season reminded me how much I hate Spuds. The United rivalry will pick up again, I'm not that fussed about Citeh.

Arsenal, cannot f**king stand them. Think it sometimes depends on who you know. I know a fair few Gooner fans are just intolerable. After that it's Liverpool for same reasons.

Exactly the same with me, I love beating Arsenal mainly due to the fact one of the first Chelsea games I saw as a kid (was born in 91) was the 1-0 vs Arsenal in 95, little did I know I was going to have to wait until I was a teenager to see us beat them in the league again.

I absolutely love the fact we are on an unbeaten run of our own against them which is even more powerful (despite the bad results between 95 and 05 we rarely failed to score), would be brilliant if we could make it ten years or maybe even more.

Liverpool I hate the most, because there is just simply no redeeming feature to that club atall, even Klopp looks c**tish in Liverpool gear.

Arsenal, probably as a result of working in Highbury for many years. Remarkable combination of deluded, arrogant AND boring.

Pitypool........whining scum...latest gripe about them..its apparently ok for kloop to bounce up & down the line last year whereas Jose was an arrogant carnt!!

I don't really hate any club per se, but there are certain people affiliated with clubs that upset me and make me want the club to lose. Sometimes it's a specific player, manager, owner, etc. Sometimes it's a vocal subset of fans.

If those people were no longer associated with the club, or if I were to change my view of the odious individuals, the club would no longer bother me.

Also, I should mention that just because some individuals make me wish ill for a club, doesn't mean I dislike everyone associated with the club. Even at clubs I really want to lose, there are often still players or other individuals that I view positively.

Likewise, being a Chelsea fan doesn't mean that I'm a fan of everything and everyone associated with the club.

Liverpool, and it's all built up in the last 10+ years. Ever since we beat them to qualify for the Champions League in 2003. I have always felt that they have had a serious grudge against us since then. Maybe they take the failure of their own team out on us and secretly feel responsible for Abramovich taking over the club.

 

The fans are also incredibly cringe worthy and cult like in their following of the club. They think the things they say is just passion for their club, i find the things they say to be weird.

 

The way they talk about Chelsea and us fans is a bit much as well, the same goes for Arsenal fans and Tottenham fans. They seem to have an irrational hate for us. I have no problem with banter but they go far beyond that. All you need to do is visit a forum of these clubs when we have a game against them to see how much they really hate us, it's not normal.

I read a comment from a Tottenham fan, he stated that he would feel sorry for any club that went in to liquidation, apart from us, he wouldn't give a toss, that sums up how they feel about us, some of them hate us more than they hate Arsenal.

LIVERPOOL ... We are not alone. I think most Clubs have long had enough of this lot ...
