One of the best chelsea performances in a long long time

Actually enjoyed the game. Hazard started off slow but got into the game. the first 25 minutes were fluid and awesome. the movement was great and the link up play looked amazing.

Chalobah again looked ready to take the next step.

Moses is looking great, costa goal was well taken but his overall game has been great too. Matic did not look out of the place and Kante was my MOTM. Alonso looked great too.

Only negative was RLC. Simply not showing anything of substance.

Cant wait for JT and Zouma. Will be interesting to see who gets the boot.

What did you expect from RLC to do in 10 minutes when Leicester were pushing forward to score a goal?

4 and half? whoa, that's generous coming from you..  The nature of those players are all defensive but hey let's not let labeling gets in the way.. A game of 2 halves, that's for sure..

that's not how football work. if you think we played defensively just because most of the fielded players' nature is defensive, then answer this: against Barca in 2012, half ofd the outfield players was offensive in nature, Drogba Mata Ramires Meireles and Lampard (50% of outfield players). does that mean we played balanced and not at all ultra defensive?

Difference between Conte and his predecessors...

When he sees something isn't working he well... changes it up. Mourinho did the same to death last season, expecting a different result each and every time.

Best performance of the season, so far ...

Interestingly, without the old school of William, Oscar, Ivan, Fab ...

Would love to see Challobah become a regular starter.

Most dominant and controlled performance not only this season, but probably for the last 15-20 EPL games. I have no doubt Conte worked the team hard in the training, the combo and understanding are starting to come together. Leicester wasn't good, but it's still pretty good as we never gave them a chance to be good. After the Arsenal game, I'd say we have no chance against United, but now I believe we are in good shape to beat them, especially with the schedule they have this week.

Very good and dominant performance against, let's not forget, the reigning champions. Got to single out Moses for praise, always thought he was a useful player whom we should have kept in the squad. Good to see him proving it. Bring on Man U.

90th minute. Leicester have an attack.

Ball is cleared by Alonso(or GC). RLC is standing about 10 metres inside our own half. Instead of sprinting and chasing defenders down, he just stands there. On the other hand, Nate, who was atleast another 10 metres behind RLC, makes a sprint, forcing the defender to pass to schemichael who lobs it ahead. Where RLC is still standing at the starting circle. Hardly a play that the manager would look at and think, "maybe I should give him a shot". 10minutes are 10 minutes more than what better talents like musonda, boga, christensen, baker have got at this club.

RLC should listen to Conte, not us. He was sent on to solidify the midfield, if he'd of roamed forward, he would probably be going against Conte's instructions.

The new system works well so far, two games scored 5 and conceded none. Love the work rate of the wing backs Alonso and Moses proving to be crucial in the formation. I hope it will work against the top sides, we won't wait for it a long time as we have United next sunday. Aina making his premier league debut, Chalobah playing and making the most of it. Conte could really be the man to take us forward.

Great performance overall - I enjoyed the way we were fluid and we seem to be getting into shape at the right time - Just before the United game.  Players did well but on the 90 mins performance I give Conte a 5.5 out of 10 and here is why!

1.  Chalobah has looked great all the time and deserves to come earlier.

2.  Michy Basthuayi is not getting any mins and this will catch up with us cause we all know Diego Costa will get injured and we wont have a match sharp option to take over.  Maybe if Batsman was a defender then he would be played??  It doesn't help to only bring him when we chase results!

3.  RLC just looks off it - this guy should not be coming on when we have Batsman on the bench

4.  Though Diego was out of line being aggressive about being taken off  and Conte doing the correct thing in that situation to not take him off after that - I think Conte should himself have thought ahead to sub Costa earlier on than risk injury and yellow card before Costa began to request it.

The positive is that his initial team set up was awesome and that we are playing well.  Lets hope we keep this form up!  Moses is doing a good job!

The main point was the gameplan, in the 2nd half, save for a couple of counter attacking situations, we're mostly pinned down at our own half and that happened right from the start in that half.. The subs is merely a point I use to show what conte's intention was all along in the halftime team talk....

Your analogy doesn't quite work in vice versa style , we often heard a whole team parking the bus, that doesn't mean all players in that team are defensive in nature.. why? because the offensive players are still needed and trusted to deliver in the rare moment of counter attacking chances.. While it's quite common for offensive players to do the defensive work, it's not quite the same in vice versa, you just don't ask a defensive in nature player to carry out offensive duty but I believe that's not the case in this game.. Conte was simply far too happy with the 2 nil lead, anything yielded from the counter is a bonus and isn't exactly in his masterclass plan..  let's be honest here, if he was so keen on resuming what we started in the 1st half, he wouldn't have put chalobah-aina-rlc to replace pedro-hazard-moses..

How is "roamed" forward and pressing even comparable?

So nate disobeyed conte's order when he tried to press the Leicester defense?

Solidifyong mid does not equate to standing like a stone in the middle of the pitch.

Being overly critical of our academy players trying to break into the first team is not in my modus operandi of supporting Chelsea.

Asking a 20 year old player who has come as a sub for the last 10 minutes and as a striker/second-striker, to atleast RUN around and close defenders is hardly being overly critical.

Specially considering the fact that our current manager has benched one of the best passers of the game because of his defensive efforts.

Looking back and comparing last season to this season so far, he did the right thing.

I think you misunderstood me. My point was to show the amount of work-rate that our manager desires from the players rather than discussing cesc's exclusion from the team.
