48-team World Cup 2026

One thing with having Djed Spence at LB was Gordon was more involved and so we could see his limitations vs Ghana.

In the Croatia match we had Nic O'Reilly there and Gordon was not involved in the game.

We do have Rashford and Madueke can be switched though will be interesting to see what TT does.

Panama need a result so it should be more open.

How long until coaches realise that having players who can barely pass 5 yards play it out from the back simply doesnt work, its so frustrating to watch...unless its the jocks obviously, then its funny.

I think a lot of mediocre managers/coaches think along the lines of: "the "best" teams tend to play it out from the back, so if we play it out from the back, we'll be one of the best teams too".

I think you're spot on.

I really thought Tuchel was better than that, but starting Noni makes me think otherwise.

It's just mental he did nothing for us or the gooners, why would he get World Cup starts?

Must be the headband.

Steve Clarke gives Dan Walker short shrift because of his immense disappointment at the Scotland result and Dan walker calls him incredibly rude - er fcuk off media twat . Scotland manager is upset at losing and reacts negatively toward media clown...call the fcking police. The media are so up themselves its not true.

and breathe. im not even scottish.

Dan Walker trying to bring a back lash on Mr Clarke i wonder if it might backfire on him snivelling cnut.

I heard about this earlier and I looked at what Steve Clarke said. He gave frank responses, but I wouldn't call him rude. Sometimes people mistake blunt honesty with rudeness.

I see Kendry Paez is on the bench/in the squad for Ecuador. Given his apparent lack of interest in playing football, that doesn’t say much for the Ecuador national team. Still, it would be interesting to see him appear, however unlikely.

I’m sure a high foot was always a foul regardless of contact. Can’t keep up with the rules any more.

Very odd. There have been a few of them.

Finally Ecuador score a f**king goal, a brilliant one too.

I'm never using the phrase 'dark horses' again.

Not in relation to Leicester under Russell Martin anyway.

It was a great strike. Also interesting that apart from Sunderland finishing above us, that’s their fourth player to score at the World Cup. I know that doesn’t actually prove anything, but still interesting as to where we seem to be at present.

It was definitely a foul, surprised the goal wasn't chalked off. Ecuador keep f**king up the final pass every time they get in good positions.

I refer to my post I made earlier in this thread.. to me it’s been a positive World Cup for VAR. we can argue all night if it was a right or wrong decision. (I personally thought it was wrong) but at least she made one and swiftly.

His default mode is miserable. And he’s a sh*t manager. They were never going to win but the manner of defeat was terrible. And on him.

And VAR?
