Wednesday at 21:061 day Generally a couple of observations across all marches that i think are really positive They seemed to have ditched the ridiculous additional minutes from the last World Cup And dare I say it VAR has been swift and decisive when used making it a lot more palatable (whether you agreed with the decisions or not)

Wednesday at 22:101 day Same old Scotland. Why do they always implode. Messing around at the back, too slow again.
Wednesday at 22:131 day Scotland just another of the countless football teams that aren’t good enough to pass the ball around on the edge of their own box. When will sides accept their limitations and just whack that ball down the field? The keeper should have launched it.

Wednesday at 22:261 day That was not a foul, the other angle shows such a pathetic amount of contact.
Wednesday at 22:281 day I can't have defenders p*ssing about at the back. If you're not excellent at playing out from the back, don't do it.
Wednesday at 22:301 day I don’t think Vini contacted him at all.I personally think he just got his foot in front and the defender kicked the back of Vini’s leg.

It was Nicola Sturgeon and The Krankies.
Wednesday at 22:511 day Out of possession the Scotland midfielders are all over committing and being drawn to the ball rather than holding position and marking the Brazil players. It's like the have all turned into David McLuiz. And there's Vini J's second.
Wednesday at 23:301 day You have to wonder what the gameplan was here.Should have parked the bus and played stiffling football. They would have probably still lost but so long as they stayed disciplined, it's hard for any team to put 3 past them.

Instead Kane was surrounded by three defenders.Got more exciting with Rogers and Saka on as they moved the defenders around more though possibly this was also because Ghana was more stretched by trying to score themselves. We also need to sort out free-kick specialists, James struggled with nearly all his crosses and Rice did not impress either. We also need some variation to test them not the same repeatedly being headed away.18 hours ago, Nibs said:Trouble with criticising Kane is it can make you look silly.Times I've done it in the past only for him to then score a goal or two. But the fact is, at times he is a complete passenger. The whole side was poor last night and he was up there with the worst performers (although surely that has to be Madueke). But like Ronaldo for Portugal, will TT ever take him off when we need a goal as he scores goals even when playing badly? It got nothing to do with Kane. TT setup his team to defend counter. 3 at the back at all times vs 1st, djed Spence as lb.If TT really wanted to go more offensive he could have brought in O'Reilly much earlier but he wanted to stay conservative Edited yesterday at 01:471 day by Bob stark
Yesterday at 06:511 day Loved him as a CFC player when he used to link up with wee Pat on that right hand side. But boy, is Steve Clarke not the most miserable and uninspiring coach of all time. Think he'll be gone as soon as WC is over.

Scotland were never getting out of that group regardless of the manager. They did well to only lose to a single very goal against Morocco.

Zero tactical nouse. I can't imagine the players took it upon themselves to try to play out against a team like Brazil. The team has relatively limited ability, a better coach would exploit what they have. The likes of Curaçao, Cape Verde, etc, manage it.
Yesterday at 09:261 day Tierney put in the most glorious crosses I have seen and he could do it without having to run to the by-line. It was a shame they did not have a Duncan Ferguson waiting for them.I didn't bet though thought 2-0 loss before the match, got the Argies result right and the England one very wrong.
