I just can't see Liverpool losing 4 in a row at home

Understand where your coming from, but yesterday morning I couldn't see them losing 3 at home!. Funny game football, lets hope they continue their run, until they play Spurs in their next home game?.

Same here. I never believe they can lose 3 consecutive match at home. What makes it incredible is that they were playing a struggling Wolverhampton at Anfield after losing 2 matches at home. If I was a betting man, I would have put all what I have on Liverpool beating Wolves because I believed prior to that match they will want a win to boost their morale before playing us. And I would have lost everything I had!

You make a good point

Liverpool have had good results against big teams and will surely play well against us. Coutinho and Mane give them a big lift up front and they are powerful in midfield even if not wildly creative.

All that said I think we are a match for them and I'm hopeful of a win or at worst a draw and would play the usual team with the usual style.

Been reading on another football forum that the Liverpool fans getting there excusses in early, claiming Henderson and Can are carrying injuries Coutinho is not fully match fit and Mane will be down because he missed a penalty in the ANC which cost Senegal a place in the next round, also that they are out of 2 competitions in a week the whole team will be on a downer lol hopefully after tuesday they will be out of a 3rd comp.

Mane will start, Klopp is desperate for an intervention at moment. I still believe we will beat them, their defence is there for the taking, and I don't see their midfield out-muscle us like Spurs did.

Any man with a decent mind knows there is no 100% victory or 100% defeat in football...

crikey.....I was always of the belief that if you won a game & got all the points on offer and/or got through to the next round in a cup tie it was about as good as you could do but now you've set me straight....

They have the wingback in Milner and Moreno but their defence is so sh*t they can't play 3 at the back.

Milner & Moreno are not good enough to play the role of wingbacks, both have huge flaws in there game & if Liverpool were to opt for that strategy against Chelsea we would destroy them.

Gerrard (Hendo) to slip and give it to Hazard in the 89th and you win by that only goal.

Would be extra beneficial since I've got Azpi and Hazard in my fantasy team :good2:

It shows how sh*t they are if Mane is their best player.

I'm sorry but Mane is quality. He'd be perfect for us on the right of the 3.

I was talking about prediction and you're talking about an after game where result already materialize?  it's clear within the context there if you didn't just nitpicking the statement...  klopp made it sound as if it's 100% that he wouldn't lose the 'next' game which is bullsh*t.. Anyway, whatever, I'm glad if my statement can set you back up straight, at least your parent would be thankful..

Crystal ball predictions. If you thought you'd seen everything from the ball this season, think again. Here they are:

Chelsea (4-1-4-1): Begovi?; Pedro, Zouma, Terry (c), Azpilicueta; Fábregas; Moses, Loftus-Cheek, Willian, N. Chalobah; Batshuayi
Subs: Eduardo, Aina, Luiz, Aké, Hazard, Alonso, Kenedy

Prediction: Liverpool 1-3 Chelsea (Kenedy, Luiz, Eduardo)

Yep, you read that right. Begovi? goes off injured at some point during the game, Eduardo coming on (because who needs Thibaut?) to find the net from long-range aided by the wind (that is assuming he didn't do a solo run past Origi, Coutinho and co). All three subs find the net too, which means a goal on his opening appearance of the season for Kenedy, and Luiz finding the net for the first time since returning from Paris Saint-Germain.

Back on earth, we have a real chance here I think. Three points would be a big boost in the title race. Best of luck, lads. CHELSEA!

With that line up, I think your crystal ball thought you were asking about the Brentford game ;)

Jokes aside, I agree that we can win this one :good2:

No reason we shouldn't win this. Liverpool are down at the moment, we need to go in and kick them in the teeth. When they play Spurs they can begin to look for their motivation, not against us. I'd predict a crazy scoreline but I don't really care. I just want the 3 points. Very crucial because I'm sure we'll beat Arsenal at the weekend.

Milner a wing back? He's a slow CM who's been playing as a make shift LB. Wing back? No chance. He'll get ripped to shreds by Moses. They can't play a 3-4-3 or 3-5-2. They simply do not have the personnel. And Spurs even when they did had to play an absolutely perfect game to beat us and we still could have gotten something from that match.

Yes, that actually isn't too far off from the Brentford team. It's confused. After all, it predicted Eduardo would score.

Some on a higher plane have a different slant on that.

“We didn’t lose. It was 1-1,” Mourinho after the Hull game.

We need a masive massive performance from Hazard. Hes had enough rest and need to turn up against this sh*t defence.

My main worry is Matic In the middle of the park. Against high pressing sides like Liverpool and Spuds we tend to struggle badly in the midfield. Obviously Cesc wouldn't be ideal either as he doesn't have a great engine to get up and down plus his defensive side is not the best so we are basically stuck with playing Matic in there with Kante.

If Matic has a poor game then I can't see us getting a result, I really hope he turns up.

I really don't understand why other teams still call us plastic? Is it because of the financial power we had when Roman took over or the increase of foreign fans we attract?

Liverpool are hardly ones to talk with the spending they did in the 80's to make a name for themselves. They broke the British transfer record twice in the 80's and were consistently the highest spenders in terms of net spend. *insert picture of Moh the Arsenal fan*

As for foreign fans every team has them so once again i don't really understand why every Liverpool fan refers to us as 'plastics' on RAWK?

The whole Plastic thing is down to pure jealousy and nothing more.

It was because Roman came out of nowhere pumped millions into us (the first club and owner to do it to that tune) and made us title challengers and eventually winners overnight. Teams like United and Liverpool couldn't handle that and felt cheated because of it...which is rich given how they monopolised the TV money and sponsorship at that time.

Those folk who refer to us as Plastic are instantly shot down when it's pointed out we were winning cups, league and European trophies as well as putting in respectable league finishing long before Roman and the money came about. We have always had a large following and like every other top club who win titles and do well in the CL we gain new followers from far and wide. It's not plastic but it's football and it's always been like that.

If you want plastic then go to Old Trafford on match day and see how many 'tourists' with their Panasonic wide lenses there are.

I am glad they still call us that as it shows we have been a massive success and it still grates on them that we have not 'gone to the wall' like so many of them said would happen.

It also stems a little bit from those first two premier league wins under Mourinho and Stamford bridge gave out plastic flags to the entire crowd, rather than a bespoke hand crafted wonderpeice the kop has.. or some bs like that.

Ok, matic and cesc have something bad in common but cesc has something that matic can't offer.. The chemistry between costa & cesc is some real lethal weapon that shouldn't really be underestimated by anyone, more so by the manager..

Since defensively matic won't be much of a help than cesc then why not using cesc, at least cesc can still pour that quality pass forward, might be more than enough to cover his shortcoming..
