What the hell does he mean by saying 'not possible to go lower' ? Next game is the visit of the champion elect who's pretty much on form.. 4 straight home defeats is very much on the card...  Another defeat for his side at anfield would be the new record and at the same time put them, if not already, out of title race which mean zero chance of any trophy.. How is that not considered any lower??

Well I took it that he means there is no chance of us beating them on Tuesday and that, in his opinion, he is very confident of winning the game.

I used to like Klopp, but he's gotten a bit too arrogant to us after that game in September.

Someone should show him that one big victory doesn't make him a conqueror. Can't wait to crack his fake optimism! :Connie_threaten:

We could leave Liverpool's entire season in the toilet with a victory.  I hope we don't stand off but force them on the back foot...we know they will up their game but I think we can sneak a win....just can't afford to drop all 3 points here especially with the Arsenal game on the weekend.....win both and that just about kills off any title hopes for anyone else.

All we have to do is what Swansea, Southampton, Plymouth and Wolves all did, which was let them mess around with the ball in their own half as much as they want, but close them down quickly when they get into ours and look to counter attack quickly. If we go at them, they run the risk of countering on us.

Liverpool will be an entirely different beast on Tuesday. Klopp has pretty much sacrificed two cups in order to concentrate on the league and that will be apparent in their performance. I think Conte will be secretly happy with a point. We need to dominate the centre of the park and push them wide where they seem very ordinary.

Their recent results mean nothing- they will give absolutely 100% to win this game on Tuesday. They are absolute dogsh*te, but they're game raisers and somehow they always seem to pull off a decent  result against the top sides.

Under Conte we have seen our defence constantly trying to play the ball out from the back, therefore I think it's likely Sturridge will be dropped and Firminio will play up top because of how relentless he is in his pressing. Sturridge simply doesn't give them that. However, they have very little creativity in midfield with a midfield three of Wijnaldum, Can and Henderson likely to start. They'll have a great deal of useless possession in midfield, but barring defensive errors from Chelsea, they shouldn't create too much.

We all know about their defence and it hasn't fared any better since Klopp arrived. Matip has been hailed as the best of the defenders but we saw on two occasions how Redmond went past him very easily in the semi final. If Hazard performs, Matip and Alexander Arnold (not sure if Clyne is back) could find him very difficult to handle.

The way I see it is, if we turn up, we win- simple. The only thing that stops us from winning this game is our own stupid mistakes or not taking our chances. We have to be clinical because even though they are playing sh*t, attacking players such as Firmino, Lallana etc can always provide quality moments and the crowd will be right behind them.

Why ? Does that mean our recent run means nothing as well ? Momentum is everything in this league.

Liverpool fans on 606 tonight not happy with him. A few already questioning whether he is the right man for the job.

I have always felt he is a bit smoke and mirrors. A good sound bite merchant but hasn't got the track record anywhere near that of a Mourinho or Ancelotti. A hair transplant and snazzy designer glasses will only take you so far. A shiny shell-suit and white trainers would complete the look.

Agree to some extent but players do raise their game for matches with so much rivalry. If we turn up and play anywhere near our best we should be too good for them but I don't think we are near our best just now. I think we have been getting results whilst below par (always a good thing) and we will need to be more fluid on Tuesday night.

I still think he is a quality manager. The squad he has is clearly nowhere near strong enough. He needs at least two more windows and, most importantly, full control over transfers. That FSG mob are sh*te owners. They are using Liverpool predominantly as a profit generating asset. Buy young players with the ambition of selling on at a profit.

Even if they raise their game and we don't play to our best, it would take a big swing in form, and i don't see them beating us. The way Wolves ripped them apart in the counter had me rubbing my hands, Willian Pedro Hazard are going to give them a bigger problem than anything they have faced in the last 3 defeats. And our defence should be stronger than anything they have faced in the last 3 defeats.

I hope Klopp gets them to come at us tooth and nail, it will play right into Conte' hands. And if they don't 'come' for us, then we could see a boringish game, like they used to be all the time against these.

Senegal lost in PKs today to Cameroon...could Mane be back for this one?

That is unfortunate as that is a huge boost for them and drastically alters their side. May be the boost they needed.

Any man with a decent mind knows there is no 100% victory or 100% defeat in football...  The way I see it, he's just saying that for fan's service and/or media service, probably under pressure of recent defeats so he felt he needed to make a statement but that statement is rather stupid which could potentially making him look an even bigger fool if we beat him.. has he lost the plot??

isn't firmino going to miss this game due to his court hearing?

I doubt it. If it was a 3 kick off maybe but for 8 the court will be finished long before that. The jammy so and so now have mane back too, guess the kopities got there wish when he missed his pen tonight.

as long as willian starts over pedro we will win. willian is better at carrying the ball south the north unlike pedro who is just a good runner and finisher in the box. Without willian hazard will have to do most of the ball carrying and we miss his devastation in the box. Also we need a setpiece threat in this game and since we al know ces wont start then the smart thing is Willian. Sorry i love u pedro but i see you being bullied in this game just like away to spurs

As well as we are playing and as bad as they are playing, I still have a bad feeling about this one.

just hope we turn up from the off as I think they'll be pumped for it.

Willian or Pedro, a difficult choice. Willian is stronger and his free kicks are superb but IMO he is too selfish. Pedro is better in playing for the team. I'd pick up Pedro.
